Chapter 105: Chapter 25: Desire (Part-1)
Grant took in a deep breadth as he calmed himself down.
But no matter what he did the feeling coming from deep inside him kept growing.
Grant's face contracted as he wondered what was going on with his body.
"Are you feeling unwell Hero?"
Waterfall asked as she saw Grant's uncomfortable expression.
"It's nothing...."
Grant replied while intently staring at Waterfall.
He was having a feeling.
That something wonderful would happen to him if he were to devour Waterfall.
"Well then follow me Hero."
Waterfall raised her eyebrow at Grant's suspicious behaviour, she could tell that something was not right about him.
But maybe it was just her misconception
The water parted as Waterfall led Grant to the depths of the lake.
Grant saw Waterfall entering a giant cave, following behind her he saw numerous crystals and gems all around the inside of the cave.
Suddenly Waterfall's ginormous body contracted as she turned into a smaller version of her dragon form.
"Welcome back master."
"This is my familiar Gel, he is a shapeshifter."
"Greetings dear guest."
Grant curiously looked at the person who looked like a butler, but hearing that it was a shapeshifter it likely wasn't his original appearance.
"Take a seat please."
Grant sat down opposite to Waterfall while the butler on the side started serving them tea.
"Well then Hero what is it that you want from me."
Waterfall said getting straight to the topic.
Grant stared at the miniature dragon, by now he has managed to take control of his urges.
"I wonder if you have heard of the supreme dragon Lancer before?"
"Lancer?"
Waterfall frowned as she said.
"There are only 7 Superior dragons in our world Futsu(Dragon mother), Root(Myriad Colour), Shin(Invincible), Grount(Sand wave),
Azuma(Crimson Lapis), Doma(Night Clad) and myself Lyca(Waterfall)...."
"....And the Dragon Mother is no longer in this world having been defeated by Root, so there are only 6 living superior dragons in the world Hero and none of them have Lancer as their name, perhaps they are using a new alias? but what does that have to do with anything..."
Grant saw the confuse expression on her face as he said in a calm voice.
"Lancer(Heavenly Sword) is the new superior dragon created by Root(Myriad Colour)."
"What!"
The cave shook due the sudden roar of Waterfall.
"Do you know what you are saying Hero."
Her voice was no longer as calm as it used to be, even excluding a bit of killing intent.
Not minding her behaviours Grant said.
"Lancer is currently hunting all other superior dragons and absorbing their powers, just like Root did once before in the past and I am afraid that two superior dragons Azuma and Doma have already falled to his attack."
"..."
Silence regained the cave as Waterfall carefully observed Grant's face trying to see if he lying or not.
After getting a good look at his face, Waterfall sighed as she said in a gloomy voice.
"Azuma and Doma were the weakest of all of us in the first place but still beating them isn't an easy feat, I will use my means to try and contact the other superior dragons and tell them about Lancer."
"There is also a human named Sofia with him who is expected to be around level 900."
Grant shared the information he knew from the novel.
"I understand."
"Well then I shall take my leave."
Grant said as he stood up.
Waterfall was a bit surprised seeing Grant turning to leave as soon as he deliver his message.
"I need to return back to the Empire soon."
"Then I will not waste your time, Gel please show our guest out."
"Please follow me."
Waterfall saw Grant leave in a hurry, she wondered whether the Empire was facing some dire crises for the Hero to be in such a hurry to leave.
"Lancer..."
Waterfall muttered in a small voice as she took out a blue stone appeared before her all of a sudden.
After saying farewell to Gel, Grant flew away from the lake, instead to returning back he stood an appropriate distance away from the lake and silently observed it return back to normal.
Now that he was away from Waterfall, Grant felt the urge slowly disappearing as well.
Standing still in the air, Grant contemplated for a long while before he made his decision.
With a wave of his hand the staff given to him by his teacher appeared in his hand.
Indeed Grant decided to trust his gut feeling.
A sharp glint passed through Grant's eyes.
He was going to go all out to kill Waterfall.

Giving a glance at his humongous amount of divine points, Grant felt more confident.
But then he remembered what happened with Lancer, he was able to split the 8th tier Earth elemental spell [Meteor] in two.
"Supreme dragons are no joke...."
They were the beings standing at the pinnacle of the world after the Goddess....
Suddenly Grant remembered another powerful being on the level of superior dragons.
Black Spider Of Calamity.
'I should find some time to find her location after beating Waterfall...'
If Grant could get the Spider's help like Mokoto did in the series then he wouldn't need to worry about Lancer or Sofia in the least.
'Let's focus on the current task first...'
Looking at the lake, Grant started chanting his spell.
9th tier Fire elemental magic.
[Hellfire.]
A perfect attack against Waterfall.
But that wasn't the end of it.
In an instant Grant used divine points and finished the chant of [Hellfire.] in an instant.
It required way more divine points than it would have when he chanted normally.
But the small battle with Lancer was still fresh in his mind, he did not want to give Waterfall anytime to react.
Suddenly numerous colours surrounded Grant's body.
[Winds of destruction], [Meteor], [Earthquake],
[Soul Fire.]...
A total of ten 9th tier spells of Earth, Wind and Fire element were summoned.
It took all of Grant's mental strength to keep the spells under control.
After he finished the last spell, Grant gave out a loud below as he harshly threw all of the spells at the Meiris Lake at once.

"Root don't tell me that you are scheming something again."
Waterfall said to the crystal in an almost shouting voice.
"Master t-t-that...."
"....But I heard that Lancer was hunting down other Superior dragons....."
"What do you mean I should not concern myself with these matters? What if Lancer suddenly comes after me?"
"MASTER"
"SHUT UP!!!CAN YOU NOT SEE THAT I AM TALKING TO SOMEO-------"
Waterfall's voice grew smaller and smaller as she stared at the direction Gel was pointing at.
"Waterfall? Waterfall?what happened why are you not saying anything?"
Root's voice came from the other side of the crystal.
But what answered him was silence.
Just when Root was wondering whether the device was malfunctioning or something.
A desperate voice came from the other side.
"Save me!!"
"Waterfall!? why are you shouting! quickly tell me what happened?!"
"....."
*Crack*
Root's eyes contracted when she saw the crystal suddenly crack up.
Looking at the broken pieces of crustal in her hand, a bad premonition hit Groot.
