Chapter 90: Chapter 7: GOD(Part-1)
"Please save my world"
Grant silently looked at the Goddess, her words were completely out of his expectations.
If he remembered correctly then the Goddess should have formed a contract with the heroes and sent them to the other world, then after the heroes gave birth to their children, she would take one of them and make him the hero which should be Makoto Misumi who would later be abandoned by her due to his bad looks.
That's how the original story was supposed to play out.
Unfortunately, Grant didn't know what timeline it was currently, were Makoto's parent's already sent to the other world? was Makoto already summoned and abandoned in the desert?.
There was a lot of information he was missing.
But one thing was certain.
'She needs me right now'
Knowing the Goddess's personality she should have definitely killed him by now for calling her an 'old hag' by now, the fact that she did not mean that she needed him.
And so he decided to ask directly.
"What would I get in return?"
Yes, why should he risk his life to fight against an entire race? also from the manga, he knows that compared to humans, the demons are overpowered.
Indeed why should he?
Saving the world? For the greater good?
Sorry, but he isn't that kind of person.
"I have already prepared it", Suddenly the Goddess said in a cheerful voice as she stood up from her seat and pointed a finger at Grant.
Before he could react a white beam of light entered his forehead.
"I shall bestow upon you a pair of magical eyes able to charm others to do your bidding."
The Goddess said in a dignified voice after all her gift was something extraordinary, she continued to blabber on about the ability's magnificent powers.
Unfortunately, she failed to notice the weird expression on Grant's face.

Staring at the messages popping in front of him, Grant felt speechless.
What a magnificent skill indeed.

Silence enveloped the room as Goddess stared at Grant with a [What nonsense are you spouting] look.
"The power that you gave me, It's gone"
Finally, the look on Goddess's face changed as she suddenly appeared before Grant and placed her hand on top of his head.
Before Grant could complain, she removed her hand and stared at him with a weird look.
"It's really not there....but how I clearly gave it to him..."
Goddess started muttering in a small voice by herself not understanding what just happened.
Grant silently waited, not interrupting her.
After a while, she finally came back to her senses and stared at Grant with an awkward look.
"I might have not sent it properly earlier, it will definitely work this time."
Once again she raised her hand but this time made sure to be extra careful.
The same thing happened as the notification once again popped up in front of his face.

Grant suddenly had a feeling that things were going in the wrong direction.
"N-no way"
This time Goddess who was carefully paying attention to Grant was even more dumbfounded.
Her power most definitely entered Grant, but for some reason it vanished?

Grant had a blank look on his face as he stared at the Godde----no this pig which kept sweating profoundly, all of her previous dignity could no longer be seen replaced by a defeated look.
"W-what the fck are you?"
It seems like she has completely given up on maintaining her image and started swearing.

Shaking his head, Grant got up and stood before the heavily panting pig----Ahem Goddess.
"It looks like that power of yours is not compatible with me...."
Somehow moving her head Goddess looked at Grant.
"So how about this....."
Grant continued.
"Teach me magic"
Listening to his request Goddess suddenly stopped panting and said in a hoarse voice.
"Magic?...."
"Yes, In exchange for saving the world I want you to teach me magic."
A rare glow of excitement appeared on Grant's face as he stated his request.
Magic.
Something which has fascinated him for a long time, after fighting Ottar he came to know the importance of magic.
'If my magic power was stronger than the battle would have turned out differently.....'
Unfortunately, her next words poured cold water on his dreams.
"I-i don't know how to teach magic....."
"..."
Grant stared at Goddess with a questioning gaze, not believing her words.
"Are you kidding me?"
"No, I really don't know how to teach it to you", Goddess said with a serious face as she stood up from the ground.
Grant fell silent after hearing her words.
Remembering how cleanly she handled magic to do her bidding he thought for sure that she was an expert.
"It's not what you think....how should i put this....."
Goddess contemplated for a while, then her eyes beamed as she said.
"It's like an instinct!"
"Instinct?", Grant became even more confused.
"Yes, instinct! Unlike you mortals, Gods have a natural ability to control magic, just like this."
Goddess waved her hand as the scenery around them was replaced by mountains.
She continued to do a few more things as if to prove her point.
Just as Grant was started to feel down.
"But I know someone who can teach you magic..."
A playful smile appeared on Goddess's face as she looked down at Grant.
"So in exchange for helping you find a teacher, you will vanquish those detestable demons?"
"For as long as I will be learning magic, I will help you."
Hearing his confident voice, Goddess smiled and said.
"Deal!"
