Overall your story was pretty slow paced and had errors grammatically but still pretty good work for a starting novel. I suggest just go read up on more vocabularies to increase your word arsenal. Sometimes i feel like certain words if exchanged with what you written it will drastically improve the novel itself. Your story actually has great potential so keep up yeah.
Although this novel is going at a slow pace, that's expected since it only has 1 chapter. I hope that the author can advance the story at a progressing pace and make this story with all of his love and care.

suggestion: please make a good synopsis. I often see many novels have good writing and plot but don't have good synopsis which completely bury their novel among other novels. U must know the first thing reader see is cover and then synopsis so by not making good synopsis it's just the same as not making any door in ur house for people to enter.
