Chapter 23: Impending doom

*6 AM
Nathan woke up and quickly prepared for his venture towards Tiffany's dojo, today he will fight intermediate practitioners, that's it, if everything goes all according to his plan.
After bathing, eating and changing his clothes to that of a training outfit he bids his goodbye to his parents.
After going out of his house he quickly finds his bike to ride it, after finding it and checking that he doesn't seems to forget anything, he goes off, Also he puts his surgical mask again just like yesterday.
After 15 minutes Nathan arrive at the dojo, but he didn't enter right away, he stops by at the nearby restaurant to drink coffee, after that he sits and think of the things he will do.
'it's 6:45 right now the training session will start at 7 am, so first of all I will start to train with them, I will ask someone who look like their leader or someone strong, then irritated them by asking them to teach me the right moves, last time it works so In theory it should works again, I will show them clumsy moves or moves that just like of a beginner, after that they might think if am I really an intermediate practitioner, then I will just said that I just entered yesterday, and somehow my dad was a friend of one teacher here, I'm sure that there might be a lot of people who will get infuriated about this, maybe not all but I'm sure there were a lot, if they knew that I got accepted in the easy way they will be angry just by the fact that they put hardwork for years but then all of a sudden I got accepted coz of some connection or some rich man's heir.'Nathan thought and smiles with great expectations about this plan, Nathan thought that it may not all go according to his plan so he already made a backup plan just incase everythings go south.
"time is up."Nathan said after seeing that it's already 7.
Nathan then goes out of the restaurant, pick his bike and proceeds to go in the dojo.
Nathan saw a lot of practitioner entering the dojo, and so he also does.
He doesn't know where the intermediate Karate facility so he deliberately follow some one who has the same belt as him.
After a few minutes of walling they arrives to a more larger facility than the beginner Karate facility.
'strange, shouldn't it be that the beginner facility was the one that should be larger because there are a lot of beginner?' Nathan thought but upon entering the facility he now knows why. There are a damn lot of intermediate practitioners than the beginners, which leads Nathan to a bigger question.
'Why there are a lot of intermediate practitioners? Intermediate should be few right because they are a higher level and takes up years of practices? Hah, it's no use thinking about it, it's good that there's a lot, it only means one thing.'Nathan eyes lit up then said.
"More points!"
After seeing that there are already a lot of people, he saw that there a significant large vacant space near the center so he take up that spot instead since there's no one occupying it.
But before going to his spot he ask someone about the things that he is curious.
Nathan pulls down his mask and tap someone who looks somewhat not aggressive."Hey bro, can I ask you something that I'm just curious about?."The young man turned around and smiles.
"Ohh new face! Of course what are you curious about?"The young man said.
"why are there a lot of intermediate practitioners than beginner?"Nathan asked.
"Ohh that? In our district there are a lot of dojos but our dojo was the only one who have an intermediate facility so the other practitioners from other dojo comes here to train in intermediate Karate after completing their beginner karate."The young man said.
"I see, thank you very much!"Nathan said upon understanding the situation.
"you're welcome! If you have some questions you can always come to me."The young man said.
'This man is not bad he have good personality' Nathan thought.
"Of course the next time I have some questions I will come to you, well then I'll find a spot now, see you later."Nathan said then smile.
"Yes, take care bro" the young man said then continues,"By the way don't occupy the large space near at the center."but unfortunately Nathan haven't heard it as he is already walking away.
Nathan occupied the spot in the the center and then the training starts.
After an hour of training.
Nathan feels awkward at the atmosphere, people occasionally looks at him which seems like he have done someone Mortal sins, some practitioners would occasionally sigh, like they pitied him .
'strange I have event start my plan yet, but their attention are focus on me, somethings wrong here I just can't find the right answer.'Nathan thought but regardless he continues to train clumsily.
It's about 10 AM now. Nathan was still practicing then suddenly all of the people turns around in his direction.
Nathan saw these and was just about to say what is wrong, but then Nathan felt something in his back which almost felt like a predator preying his food, it almost seems like an impending doom.
'Shit I knew it! I must have known it, that this spot have been reserve to their alpha! I'm stupid to not realize it, dammit! But how can an intermediate practitioner felt like this?' Nathan thought and he heards footsteps that shakes the ground itself.
Nathan slowly looks behind him, and saw that towering figure who stops in front of him, in front of this massive figure its like comparing a tiger from a cat, it's worlds apart, Nathan was like a little boy in front of this hulk.
Nathan could only scratch his head and smiles awkwardly.
"hehehe."these what his mouth let out
but what actually in Nathan's head.
'Shit, I'm dead!'
