Chapter 1: Prologue

Summer has come.

Season on where most children of school will go on their holidays, no, actually it is not limited to children but most people who live in the Japanese social world.

One way for someone to go through the summer is to go back to their hometown or even go on vacation to a small town to find peace.

But for a 21-year-old boy who was downing a bottle of Ramune (a Japanese drink) in front of a traditional Japanese candy store, that kind of vacation was almost non-existent because he was here for other reasons.

"Ahhh, the pickup is still long..."

He muttered softly, but the language he used was not Japanese, for a moment he used his own language, aka the language of his native country, namely Indonesian.

Then the scenery is directed to the right and left side of the place where he stands.

Left side, rice fields.

Right side, rice fields.

As far as the eye can see there is only rice fields here.

"Hey, how come there are only rice fields..."

Once again he muttered to himself using his native language.

He hopes a little more than the scenery in front of him because the place he will visit is Japan, so what has already arisen in his expectations is an urban area with towering buildings, although it might not be a crowded area but that is what has become hope.

The young man deliberately did not see the sheet he was supposed to learn about this city so he could get the impression of being shocked when he saw it and well, he was truly shocked but for other reasons and even that itself was questionable as a feeling of surprise he wanted or not .

Besides that he was greeted with the hot sun and how humid the air was, he never thought that the surprise he would get was not only from the realization of this city called Asahigaoka, he also got it from the air that was attacking him.

"If it's like this, it's just same as Sidoarjo."

This time the murmur was a bit protesting, it could be said that he felt a feeling called disaffection with his surroundings, a thing to laugh about because he himself did not read the sheet he should have learned and ended up in the situation now.

There was no slow laughter and no more protest.

The young man then sat on a bench that was always prepared in front of the candy store, with Ramune in his mouth, he looked at the sky while thinking to himself; 'Why did my first visit in Japan end up in a place like this?'

It is quite reasonable considering that this young man is a fan of Japanese culture, in other terms; Weaboo alias Wibu if you use the local language of your home country.

He expected a place that would make his brain synapse system work and add octane which made him become so excited that he forgot about his initial goal.

In fact such a thing did not happen.

He can't forget his original goal when he visits Ashigaoka directly.

"This kind of Practical Work... why did it fall to me?"

He did not protest, complain, let alone be angry with all this, but he was surprised at why he was a student who was sent down by his university to do this kind of work.

The blue sky that he looked at kept changing along with the movement of the clouds which seemed to support the sky so as not to fall to Earth.

This young man's mind also changes with the movement of the cloud.

Now there is no grandiose thought in him other than trying to complete this task and return to his home country, Indonesia and he will enjoy the time he has wholeheartedly here because he does not expect strange things to happen during his stay in here to become a street vendor for 3 months.

True, for 3 months he will live in Asahigaoka and will do the Practical Work to find out how people from Ashigaoka live their lives, things that look simple and indeed will be easy for this young man to do without taking much time.

Finally, at one time he spent Ramune who was on the verge of his lips, he immediately threw away the bottle of Ramune that had run out to the nearest trash can and he then looked around once more.

He did not see anything interesting other than rice fields and the mountains, he had the mind to take a short walk to look around but he realized that if he did something like that then it would only create trouble for the people who would pick him up.

'Better I buy sweets or something.'

After making such a decision, the young man decided to stand up from his seat, he who stood up and walked in two steps immediately stopped when he felt something was bumping into his leg.

Luckily he had walked by dragging his feet so that the collision that would have occurred would not have caused damage if he had just hit an item.

But what he hit was not an item.

But a child.

A child who, when viewed from his height, is unlikely to feel that people will draw conclusions that this small child is an elementary school student or even a kindergarten.

Having violet-colored hair or better known as violet color, the child's brown eyes are directed at the young man whose height is far above him, more than 50 cm even.

The little girl did not say anything even, she just buried her face at the foot of the young man who was in a state of shock for various meanings.

Shortly thereafter the little girl brought up her face and she looked at the young man who was still recovering from her shock with her brown eyes, she then opened her mouth wide but her speech was slow.

"Nyanpasu."

"N—Nyanpasu?"

A sense of confusion coupled with curiosity immediately crushed the young man's mind, she then tilted her head for a moment then the little girl who turned out to be the girl following his movements.

"Is nii-chan is someone named Onodera?"

"Ono—well..."

Hearing his name was called but wrongly even reminded him of a character who had become a joke in his native country because the weebs feud in defending a fictional character could only make the young man be touched shortly before he could recover.

"Erm... if you mean I'm Ondra then your guess is correct."

"What's the difference between that?"

The little girl asked so innocently and was still in the same position so that the young man who turned out to be named Ondra lowered his head so he could look at the girl in four eyes.

After they fought for a while, Ondra finally realized that this girl did not have any evil intentions in calling his name (which it was wrong).

But still, there is one thing that is so hard here.

"We change the question, how do you know my name?"

He asked the girl, of course, by using Japanese because a girl with violet hair that she faced was seen from anywhere only speaking Japanese and that too was difficult.

"From nee-nee!"

"Nee-nee?"

From now on he didn't get a satisfying answer...

He himself was confused about what he had to do.

Ondra is in a state that can either be called trouble or oddity because in the end only he can make a decision on this but he can't do anything at all other than be quiet and think.

"Nee-nee... so your sister."

"Um!"

"Then where is your sister now?"

"At home."

"Geh! Why are little kid like you left alone?"

"Why is Onodera-nii so surprised?"

"Of course I was shocked, should the little girl— eits, stop calling me Onodera and continue, call me Ondra, the spelling is like this; On-de-ra."

"Ondera ~!"

"Nice! But now is not the time for this! You, what's your name, kid?"

"Renge! Miyauchi Renge!"

Upon hearing the name Miyauchi, Ondra immediately put on a face saying that he finally realized the situation that was happening and the reason why this girl knew him ...

"By the way how can you recognize me?"

"Wait a minute."

Renge then reached into her skirt pocket then took out something that turned out to be a photo.

Photos of a young man with a tired face, he wore glasses and had dark hair like charcoal and viewed from any appearance says he's don't very much care about how people will see the appearance of him.

Glasses, check.

Eye bags, check.

A face that is bored, check.

'Isn't this my picture...'

In Ondra's heart wondered, but of course there was no one or anything that could provide an answer to his question.

"Nii-chan face is quite striking but I need to make sure too, so I bring the picture."

"You seem to want to say that I'm a suspicious person."

"Suspicious?"

Hearing Renge's innocent reply finally made Ondra give up, he then nodded his head slowly while taking a step back slowly, as a sign that he wanted to make the situation between them both more manageable.

'Haah... she's really innocent kids.'

Before he could finish his thoughts, Renge himself moved to surround Ondra, trying to see the overall appearance of the young man in front of him.

Of course this made Ondra confused and his body turned along with Renge's movements because he reflexively followed the movements of Renge.

"Oy, oy, what are you doing?"

"Trying to make sure, maybe Ondera-nii is a fake Ondera."

'I will never understand the logic of a child... even though I may have done something similar before...'

"So, after you confirm that, what will happen to me?"

"Renge will take you to Nee-nee~."

Ondra just realized one fact.

Actually, how lazy people who are supposed to pick her up until she had to make a kid to come and bring him to meet people who are called as 'nee-nee' is by Renge.

'How come this is like the story of the Anime prefix even though it seems like a lot of things are strange...'
