Synopsis
My nails dig into his flesh as I tried to secure my grip on him. It would have all been good if I had just cried, but instead the sky did.
The rain soaked my clothes and then flowed to my hands, and soon I could feel him slipping away. My heart raced as I closed my eyes, focusing on both the grip and a prayer.
I start to feel a warm liquid filling up the cracks of my nails, and I still held on.
I am trying so hard.
I can still hold on tight.
And yet, why?
