Chapter 22: back to the present.
The next day someone unexpected was waiting in Daniel's office. It was Madison's lawyer.
Daniel was surprised upon opening the door.
"Hello Mr. Ronald, I wasn't expecting you here. Is there something??" Daniel greeted the lawyer with a warm handshake but a perplexed face.
The lawyer sat at the chair next to the bureau while Daniel sat on the main chair of the bureau.
" well, it regards Mrs.Madison's will. You are mentioned or shall I say you are the only one in it"
Daniel was bewildered. He couldn't believe his ears.
He felt his eyes were deceiving him when Mr. Ronald gave him a check. It was worth 100 billion dollars. Daniel was dumbfounded and astonished by the turn of events.
He couldn't utter any words. The lawyer noticed that so he explained further.
" She left a letter explaining everything. I think you should read it alone. "
Daniel nodded and took the letter from the lawyer. The lawyer excused himself leaving Daniel in the room by himself. He opened the letter as quick as the lightning and started reading...
' my dearest Daniel, if you are reading this then that means that I am dead. I hope that you are not blaming yourself for my death. It was my choice and I felt that it was my end so you should be glad. I will always be grateful for the years you gave me.
I left you my fortune to start your business. I knew you needed a big amount to expand your hospital. Live well Daniel and stop blaming yourself.

Daniel put the letter in his drawer and looked at the sky as if he was talking to someone.
"Thank you for being in my life," he said while looking at the sky.
Dennis interrupted him by opening the door to the office.
"Hey, how are you doing now??"
"Addison left me her fortune to start my business"
Dennis opened his jaws as wide as possible.
Daniel told him about what happened and they both were grateful to Addison as they needed that money for a while and they didn't want to ask their family for it. They wanted to expand the hospital and start a clinic for poor people.

Coming back to the present time in sera's room
" wow, these were really bad times weren't they?!" Sera told Daniel with a sarcastic tone.
Daniel looked at her in agreement.
"Well at least it's over, anyway let's start dancing"
"You did the choreography?" Sera asked in surprise
"Yeah but I need to see if they fit" Daniel started to listen to the music again while Sera was still surprised by how fast he was.
After hours of dancing to the song, they ended it and Daniel took Sera home by his car.
Sera was afraid to get into the car. She kept staring at Daniel's car and remembered what happened a year ago.
Daniel noticed Sera's anxiety so he opened the door of the car to her and said.
"This car was the one that brought you to the hospital. you should feel safe in it."
Sera's lips formed a smile as Daniel found the perfect words to reassure her.
"That would mean that you will be my driver, " Sera said as she entered the car and Daniel laughed
"I could give you the car as a gift"
"Nah, either way, I need to overcome this, I am a singer after all. My way of commuting are cars"
"Just don't stress yourself and who will stay with you??"
"...." Sera didn't answer Daniel because she didn't tell anyone that she was discharged.
" you are kidding Sera, why?"
" I don't need anyone. You know that cause you let me stay at the hospital as long as possible. I am fine. "
" you are stubborn. " Daniel said with a sigh that made Sera smile
" But you still got it in you. Looks like you still love dancing".
"I was a prodigy. Till now I get many offers but I turn them all down"
"Why? You could do both" Sera asked with a bewildered look.
" I am a world-class doctor. My patients won't take me seriously if I was a superstar dancer "
" Good point but a waste of talent" Sera said with disappointment and that was the end of their conversation as Daniel reached Sera's house.
Sera thanked Daniel and went into her complex apartment.
