Chapter 64: The Request (25): Find Her

That night, Jinhyun knocked on Cherry's door but there was no response.

"Ms. Wang?" he called. He lightly banged on the door but she still did not open. Is she not home yet? He wondered. He tried to call her a few times to no avail. She was not picking up either.

Jinhyun frowned. Why was she avoiding him? Did he offend her again? He tried to recall if there was something he had said although he was sure that he did not say any such thing which might have hurt her. He tried to reach out to her a few more times before giving up. Maybe she was busy.

I'll check on her later, he decided and went back to his apartment.

Unbeknownst to him, Cherry was inside her house, shrouded by complete darkness. The lights were turned off but she was sitting on the floor, leaning against the couch. She dimly heard Jinhyun knocking on the door but chose to ignore him.
