Chapter 104: Chapter: 24(Battle Part-2)
Riding on the back of the wyvern, Grant flew over the giant walls of the Imperial Capital Ur, he could see soldiers standing on top of the wall staring at him with a dumbfounded expression.
With a glance Grant was able to locate the royal palace, it was literally the largest building in the entire capital you have to be blind to not notice it.
Wasting no time he directed the wyvern to fly towards it.
In no time they arrived at the top of the palace, Grant maneuvered the wyvern to land on the open garden on the roof.
With rough movement the wyvern landed on the garden, almost destroying the place with it's claws.
Grant calmed the wyvern down as he saw a group of soldiers rushing out quickly surrounding them with their sharp weapons.
Unsurprisingly they were the Limia kingdom's royal guards.
"My name is Grant Ashdown, I am the Hero selected by the Goddess and have come to help Limia Kingdom face off against the demons."
Grant's voice wasn't loud but it somehow reverberated throughout the place.
At first the soldiers were nervous due to encountering the unknown enemy, but when they heard Grant say 'Hero' the look in their eyes quickly shifted.
The news regarding the battle at the Imperial capital Luinas has already reached to the Limia Kingdom.
They have heard how the Hero managed to repel an army of demons on his own without a single casualty on the human's side.
It was a monumental feat which shook the four major powers around the world.
"Move away "
A middle-aged man quickly shouted as he rushed through the group of soldiers.
The middle-aged man came in fron of the wyvern, he carefully observed Grant's face for a moment before going down on one knee and saying.
"It is an honour to receive sir Hero, please follow me to meet the king."
With a light kick Grant landed in front of the man while holding the unconscious woman in his arms.
"She should be one. of your own."
"This!"
The middle-aged man's eyes quivered, it seemed like he knows the woman in armour.
"What is your name?"
"Ekard Sir!"
"Hmm take her to get some rest."
Grant handed the woman over to him who in turn called up the guards to take her away.
"Please follow me."
Grant told the wyvern to stay here as he followed behind Ekard.
While traveling through the palace Ekard asked whether Grant would like to rest first which he declined.
Ekard didn't say anything else as he quickly led Grant to meet the king.
"Please wait here for a moment, his majesty will be arriving soon."
Grant didn't mind waiting as he sat in the unfamiliar room.
Meanwhile Ekard quickly went away after leaving some servants to attend to Grant.
He needed to quickly verify Grant's identity.
After waiting for a longer time than he expected the king of Limia Kingdom finally appeared before him.
Unlike the Emperor who looked to be one step in the grave, the king of Limia seemed to be in the prime of his life.
"Words aren't enough to show how grateful I am for your timely help Hero."
The king said with an exited expression on his face. It seemed like the news of him driving away the demons have finally reached the capital.
"It is my duty your majesty."
Grant said as he bowed a little towards the king.
"Hahaha I am glad you think that way."
After that they both sat doen and started exchanging pleasantries.
It seemed the king was a bit too exited after meeting hin as the man kept going on and on about useless stuff which no one cares about.
The corners of Grant's mouth couldn't help but twitch when he heard the king talk about his private life.
Ahem excuse me but are we that close?
Also I don't care whether your wife looks beautiful or not!
"Your majesty I have a request."
Grant quickly interjected before the king could go any further.
"Oh please tell me."
"I would like to meet the superior dragon waterfall."
"This...."
The king fell in aa dilemma, if it was anything else then he would have agreed right away but meeting the superior dragon isn't something which even he could decide on casually like that.
"I will first have to ask the superior dragon------"
"There is no time I must meet her right now your majesty."
Grant said cutting off the king mid-sentence.
"Right now?!"
A frown appeared on the king's face when he saw Grant's serious expression.
"Yes right now."
After seeing Lancer and Sofia before, Grant knew that he had been taking things too slowly before, he must take action before Lancer devours any more superior dragons.
Meiris Lake in Limia Kingdom.
"This is the place."
A soldier pointed towards the giant lake ahead of them.
"Hm you can go back now."
Grant said as he flew towards the place leaving the shocked soldiers behind.
Standing above the lake, Grant used magic to sense the place, he quickly noticed two presence hiding in the lake, one of them was many times weaker than the other, he didn't need to guess who Waterfall was between them.
"Superior Dragon Waterfall, I have come to meet you."
Grant directly stared at the direction of the stronger presence.
And indeed his words hit the mark.
"...You are something else indeed Hero."
The water in the lake parted as an enormous dragon with clear blue scales on its body appeared before Grant.
In comparison to the massive being Grant looked like an ant.
Waterfall looked down at Grant's stunned expression with a satisfied look on her face.
"Fufufufu. It seems like this is the first time you are meeting a superior dragon Hero. No need to be so surprised Hero I can sense the blessing of the Goddess on you. Leaving that aside I give you my gratitude for helping the Limia Kingdom from their crises I also give my gratitude to the Limia royalty that has been abiding to the contract until now. As a show of my gratitude, I will invite you to my dwelling..."
While Waterfall was talking she failed to notice that Grant's expression kept undergoing massive change.
With difficult movement, Grant raised his hand and tightly gripped his chest.

'What is this feeling....'
The more he looked at Waterfall the more the feeling grew.

'Why?....'
This was the first time Grant has felt this way.
'I.....'
His throat felt dry as a desire from deep within himself came rushing out.
With longing eyes Grant stared at Waterfall.
'I want to eat her!'
