Chapter 121: Chapter 40

[Inside the mysterious world.]

"I don't understand."

The figure in white said, gazing down at William who was lying down on the ground, not showing any movement.

"Why did you do that?"

Using a stick he picked up from somewhere the figure in white poked William's cheek.

Surprisingly even after being poked, William didn't show any reaction, seeing the scene the figure in white narrowed his eyes, coming closer he grabbed William's coat and opened it revealing a horrifying scene of blood cracks forming on his chest are, slowly moving up to cover his body.

A frown appeared on the white figure's face, with quick speed he moved his hand, placing it above the giant crack, then under his guidance the cracks started repairing themselves, slowly mending back together until they almost disappeared, leaving behind a few small ones which he seemed to be unable to repair.

At the same time William's eyes opened up, his crystal clear stared straight at the figure in white who in turn stared back at him.

"That was stupid, you almost destroyed your soul you know."

The figure in white retracted his hand, getting back up he slowly stepped away from William.

"Even after I clearly explained to you the 'Rules' we have to follow.."

Even though he didn't receive a reply, the figure in white continued in an annoyed voice.

"Whenever we travel to another world, we tend to forget the names we had in the previous world, the same happened to you and Grant, there is a reason behind it as names are the proof our existence, if we don't forget them then it will invoke the world's rejection force expelling us and at the worst case even killing us...."

Pointing at the remain of blood red crack on William's chest he said.

"The same goes for skills which strongly resembles us, they cannot be passed on, just like your [Cold Blooded](S) and Sword Saint------ Oh it's Sword Emperor (SS) now."

"But still, even now I don't understand one thing."

With a curious voice he gazed down at William.

"Why did you let Grant have the skills you so rightfully acquired? [Divine Soul](SSS), [Authority Of Love](SS) and those extras?"

"Since those skills weren't deeply related to you in the first place, you were able to give them away, but still, just why?"

"...."

"Sometimes I just can't understand what goes through that brain of yours."

"..."

"I wonder how long you can keep ignoring me."

"...."

"...Blockhead"

The figure in white held his forehead when he saw Grant once again get back to his meditative position and start training, completely ignoring his existence.

"Tsk it would have been better if Grant just died, atleast I would have gotten someone to talk to who wouldn't be a freaking wall....."

-------------------------------------

[Stella Fort.]

"Look at this carefully and tell me whether you can get this done or not.", Grant said as he handed a blueprint to the nervous dwarf sitting in front of him.

Surrounding them stood the various knights and several maids giving the dwarf a disgusted look, as if looking at an inferior species.

Being stared at by such hostile gazes scared the little dwarf, with trembling hands he grabbed the blueprint given to him by Grant before he started studying it.

At first the swarf was nervous, but the more he studied the blueprint the more exited he became, in a fit of excitement he suddenly jumped up from his chair and shouted.

"Genius! Whoever made this is an absolute genius!"

Grant signaled fir his guards to put back their swords before turning back to look at the now exited Dwarf.

"What do you think? Can you make it?", Grant asked in a hopeful tone, if even the dwarfs were unable to get it done then he might be forced to change his job from a mage to a construction worker.

"Hm it's quite the unique design, there are even various profound steps which I do not understand....."

Grant unconsciously imagined himself breaking stones, cementing walls and carving runes on a God forsaken tall tower for the next 20 years, making him shiver.

"We can do it."

The dwarf's words helped him get out of the dilemma.

"Although it might not match perfectly, but under guidance we can definitely accomplish it."

The dwarf clenched his fists while in his eyes burner the spirit of a craftsman.

"That's good, then what do you want as a reward for your work?", Grant asked, his finger lightly tapping the table.

Suddenly the dwarf fell silent, moving his eyes around he turned a hesitant, finally after gathering all of his courage, the dwarf said in a small voice.

"We hope Lord Hero will accept my tribe as his citizens....."

Although his voice was low, it managed to reach the ears of everyone present in the room.

"Ridiculous!", One of the standing knights shouted in anger, startling the poor dwarf.

"How dare these mere demi humans ask life among us!"

"Disgusting!"

"Lord please permit us to kill this monster, as fir the tower the magicians of our dignified race are way more qualified then these brutes...", The senior mage who was previously responsible for the construction of the tower quickly said while pointing at the shivering dwarf.

Suddenly Grant raised his hand, making all of them stop immediately.

Then he calmly pointed at each of the knight, magicians and maids which shouted before.

"You, you, you and you as well"

He continued in a calm voice.

"Get out."

His words stunned them.

As if unable to comprehend what just happened, they stood there like statues made up of stone.

"From now on you people are no longer a part of my Stella Fort, pack your things and return back to the Empire."

His words were like lightning to their ears.

"M-my lord you cannot do this-------"

The mage who was speaking suddenly flew out from the room at a devastating pace.

In an instant everyone turned their gazes back to Grant.

"This is my last warning."

His golden eyes seem to pierce through their soul.

"Leave and never come back."

"And you."

Grant suddenly pointed at the dumbfounded dwarf.

"From now on the dwarfs, elves and all other demi Hunan which have followed Mio back shall be the legal citizens of my Stella Fort, anyone who criticize them shall be punished severally and in the worst case will be thrown out of the Stella Fort."

The dwarf's mouth opened up wide enough to fit an arm.

"Is there anything else you need?"

"N-no L-Lord that is more than enough!"

Nodding his head at the exited Dwarf, Grant pointed at Hans who was standing behind him.

"If you need any materials then just contact Hans, I expect you to complete the tower as soon as possible."

"Y-yea Lord Hero!"

The dwarf portrayed himself on ground with tears falling out of his eyes like waterfall.

--------------------------

"Please wait young master.", Hans said as he blocked Grant's way.

"What is it?"

Releasing a deep breath, Hans said.

"Please retract your order about the Demi-humans."

Hans said in an unyielding voice, staring straight at Grant.

"Hans for how long have you served the Ashdown family?"

The sudden question shocked the old butler as he replied in an instinctive voice.

"More than 50 years now....."

"Hm"

Grant nodded his head.

"Then on account for your years of loyalty, I shall forget what you just said."

Saying so Grant walked pass the kneeling butler.

"Y-You g master wait----"

"Hans."

"!"

"You have taken care of me since I was small, that is why I do not wish to throw you out so....."

Cold sweat covered Hand's forehead.

"Do not force me to do something I might regret."

No longer paying attention to the old butler, Grant made his way forward.

As he walked pass the several maids, a voice resounded in his head.

'Stop wasting time and go back '

Halting his steps, Grant looked up his gaze seem to pierce through the wooden roof reaching for the skies.

"You want me to find the way back? Fine!"

"Since you saved my life this is the least I can do..."

"But take note after this all debts between us shall be repaid!"

A young maid hurriedly ran upto him.

"Young master! Miss Mio has awaken!"

"Lead the way."
