"I don't understand what you are talking about."
Grant said with a straight face as if he hadn't done anything wrong.
"This isn't a joke Grant."
Goddess took a step forward appearing right in front of him.
"Why are you colluding yourself with those detestable Demi-humans?"
Her cold eyes seem to stare straight at his soul.
"You're a divine being Grant!"
Looking at his beautiful face which is far and beyond mortal reach, the Goddess's voice turned soft.
"Grant...."
Raising her hand she reached out to caresse his face, but this time he actually took a step back avoiding it.
His sudden behaviour shocked the Goddess, he actually avoided her.
The Goddess loves beautiful things that is why when she created the human race, she made sure to make them pleasing to her eyes.
That is why when she first met Grant, she was shocked and delighted by his saint like baby face, giving her urge to adopt him as her child, but keeping in mind the bigger picture she grudgingly sent him to the Goddess Of Magic.
But what she didn't expect was, after Grant came back he became even more beautiful.
And even now, it's only been a month since they met but it seems like his face have become even more perfect!
If the Goddess was in her normal state of mind then she would have notice that there is definitely something wrong with this person.
Unfortunately it seems like something was 'affecting' her state of mind without her knowing.

"It is my territory Goddess and I have the right to choose my citizens."
It was the first time she have heard such a cold voice coming out of Grant's mouth, though even his cold voice felt like music to her ears.
Seeing that things were going in the wrong direction, the Goddess quickly changed her approach, with a gentle expression on her face she said.
"Of course Grant it is your territory so you may do as you wish with it..."
She reached out for his hand and held it between her's.
Even the Goddess haven't noticed some small details.
The fact that she wanted to 'touch' someone else wasn't normal, for her who always though of herself as a superior being, the very idea of touching Grant which felt so 'normal' to her was 'abnormal'

Her thoughts seem to be changing all of a sudden.

The pink glow disappeared from the Goddess's eyes, then a shocked expression appeared on her face before she took a step back, staring at Grant in pure disbelief.

"I am here to say goodbye to you Goddess."

Words stopped coming out of the Goddess's mouth as she stared at the glowing rune on Grant's palm, it was similar to the one Root had but way more defined and superior over all.
"It was pretty easy for me to duplicate this little thing."
Grant said, he had already deciphered the working of the rune and its powers are no longer able to affect him.
Though it's a different stories for others.
"Although I do not like you Goddess, we don't have any grudge with each other either, in exchange for the opportunity you gave me, I shall become a wall which seperated the demon and the humans, Paradise which occupies the only land route leading towards the human kingdoms will stop any demon who tries to advance forward."
"Then goodbye."
The light coming from the rune surrounded Grant, giving one last look at the Goddess he disappeared from the world above the clouds, leaving behind the dumbfounded Goddess.
In the next instant, Grant appeared above his land, Paradise.
Raising his hand high, the rune on Grant's hand shone with a blinding light, at the same time the almost finished magic tower in the distance suddenly lit up, a faint blue colour barrier appeared from the magic tower, covering the entirety of Paradise.
"From now on the Goddess's powers will no longer be able to intrude on my land."
Every Demi-human on the street seemed to have heard his voice as they turned their heads up, staring at the golden figure in reverence.
"I am your Lord Grant Ashdown and I welcome you all to Paradise."
Under the influence of the magic tower, the mana density of paradise increased by ten fold becoming a holy land, the deserted landscape surrounding the territory underwent a massive change turning lush and green.
While his citizens cheered in excitement, Grant arrived at the top of the almost finished magic tower, the roof split open as if inviting him inside.
A luxurious space filled with various magic equipments appeared before Grant's eyes, but his eyes were fixed in the mountain of books which were placed in the corner.
Walking towards them, Grant took out the note pasted on top.

A smile formed on Grant's face, seeing the familiar handwriting.
"Everything is in place."
A light flashed through Grant's eyes.
"Now it's time to fullfill my promise and return back to the dungeon city, Orario."
