Chapter 1: New Beginnings

My mind was in a disoriented state, almost as if I had drunk a lot the day before. But it must have been a mistake, I never drank?

When I try to move, an absence of mobility came over me. It was frightening. My emotions were in turmoil and I didn't know what situation I was in. With that an absurd question crossed my psyche, am I... dead...? No... You can't be! I was, wait... What? I don't remember anything?

My memories, they went away from me. It was a fog I couldn't escape, but as this was happening... a slight glow of understanding came over me. Specific memories made clear to me a part of what I thought I had become.

Martial World? Is that something I read? On deep and detailed reflection, inspiration did not come. So I gave up. Fatigue, though unexpected, enveloped me; perhaps... the flames of purgatory were eating away at what little remained of my existence.

With that, nothing remained. Probably that would have been the end, but in the case of this lost and terrified soul like countless others, I achieved something extraordinary in an unexpected and confusing way; escaping the cycle of reincarnation and arriving at a place full of the greatest and most beautiful mysteries.

In a forest illuminated by the bright sun, you could see an average looking young man with tanned skin. This one, although normal, emitted an aura of courage and nobility; something exceptional could be said.

As he was pounding a rough-looking tree with his bandaged fists, something strange happened. He stood in the same position with a blank stare, as if his mind were drifting away from everything around him and were nothing but clouds drifting in the vastness of the world.

The sun went down and the body once sweaty from the exertion was now cold from the constant exposure to the environment, with no clothes to keep warm. When the light that illuminated the world went away and the beauty of the night arrived, his eyes closed to open again. This with a present and notable difference; he was no longer lin ming.

His lips opened to close again, his arms rigid from being in the same position for hours fell off. The person who emitted an aura of exceptionality is now empty. The martial arts practitioner in front of nature, the forest of the zhou mountains was now in a state of confusion but also understanding.

"So I have transmigrated"

His voice traveled with the wind and the emotions contained in them were diluted with the ease of time.

Years of experiences happened in those few hours, the soul that now did not remember his name felt them as their own. With this I come to a definite conclusion, he was lin ming or at least would accept that identity that usurped without reason.

While he was meditating, the cold enveloped him and an even stronger reaction than the previous ones appeared on his face that during this time was inexpressive.

"I should go back to... my home"

Walking down the mountain I imagine what his future interactions would be like or if someone would find out if he was no longer the same lin ming who was always living in the kingdom of Heaven's Fortune.

He possessed the memories of the previous lin ming but not his personality, he had lost his previous memories but could still unexpectedly feel that he was still him. Experiences were what defined how we would be and act, but in this strange case it seemed that he was not.

He had to think whether to follow what appeared in his memories and take the path of the protagonist or leave that aside. But with this an inevitable consequence could appear, those who will suffer will continue to do so, without him intervening many things could break and...die.

Lin ming believed that he had not read the whole of Martial World in her past life. He was missing a conclusion or resolution to several mysteries. That's why he understood that maybe, even if he followed the preordained path, there was no good ending.

He did not feel like someone who wanted to save the world. But it was a place where he lived and if it was destroyed or ruined by hands that did not benefit him ... so it was best to make some effort.

"I'll rest a bit and then we'll see."

Arriving at his rented house he bathed and lay in bed, still thinking about tomorrow. His mind was elsewhere, but his body did not change its course and fell into the world of dreams; different from the emptiness that followed his death.

But there was something strange, in his mind he could see a golden wheel. It looked like a clock, not in turn. Still not understanding what it was, curiosity invaded him and without rhyme or reason he turned it, as if that were the natural course of events and... the darkness of what was his consciousness illuminated, while his eyes were dazzled he could hardly see that a number appeared in the center of the wheel.
