Chapter 1: Darkness
"P…Please…at least don't hurt Kyouya…!"
Shouting this, Fujioka Aimi ran towards her son while he just stared at his father, Nakamura Keiichi. Right now, we are in one of the moments that Nakamura Kyouya was used to seeing in his home. At first, he was scared, he cried desperately to try to stop his father, ending up being beaten himself.
As his father was approaching his mother, memories of the first times such a thing happened surfaced in his mind...

It was a sunny day, Nakamura was 7 years-old as he was happily returning from school as his mother came to pick him up…
"Mother! You know, today I and Ayumi-chan became friends!"
Hearing his words, his mother smiled wryly as she replied
"Ohh, that's wonderful news. Is she cute?"
Surprised by her question, Nakamura looked down as a small blush could be seen on his face...
"S-She is…but that isn't important! She likes to play soccer as well, that's why I decided to introduce her to our group! She will play with us!"
Amused by his reactions, his mother made a 'fufufu' as she added
"Let's bring your friends over to our house, I'm curious to know this girl"
Smiling as well, Kyouya nodded as they were approaching home.
"Ah, by the way, what do you want to eat for dinner?"
Her words, brought him to think about it as for him, it was a hard question, but, in no time, he already had the answer
"Can we do Ramen with eggs? I really like it!"
Remembering she had all the necessary ingredients, his mother nodded while they already arrived in front of their house.
Releasing his head to take the keys from her pocket, she found them as she inserted it in the locker as she open the door, but oddly enough, she found that it wasn't double-locked
'Strange, Keiichi-san has work until the evening, and he didn't warn me he would come over'
Hardening her expression, Kyouya's mother looked at his son with a warming smile as she took his hand in hers.
"Listen to me, Kyouya. I'll give you my phone, if I tell you to call the police, would you remember the number?"
Nodding, Kyouya remembered every time her mother said that, if there was some kind of trouble, he had to call that number and tell them everything he knew.
Proud of her son, she smiled as she gave his head a few pats
"Good son, remember, if I tell you to call the police, you will do that. You remember the name of the street where we live as well, right?"
Hearing her starting to whisper, Kyouya thought she was playing some kind of game, so, he decided to tag along with the whispers.
"Yes, I remember everything, mother!"
His determined expression brought her to smile as she knew she couldn't call the police without a meaning. If, for any reason, the person that was in the house was Keiichi, or she forgot to fully double-lock the door, this whole thing will just be something she will laugh at with her son in the future, but, if it wasn't like this...
