Chapter 95: Blues of the Young Mistress

Right after stepping a foot inside the Spencer's humongous mansion, Eli already felt shivers running down her spine.

It's just probably because of how intimidatingly grandiose the place was, and she wasn't really used to seeing one, much less, entering it as a guest. But then, she's more than certain that it's not the sole reason. She could still clearly recall the first and last time she went there, after all. It's one of those grueling moments during her freshman year - ones that she struggled to bury deep in her mind.

"Jeanette said that Leah badly needed someone right now, though. As her personal maid, I don't think she would lie about that. I just can't neglect her like this either, especially with how much she did for me the other day. I guess re-organizing my notes has to wait for a little bit longer," Eli pondered before glancing at Jeanette who's quietly walking by her side.
