Chapter 16: Reveal
At the Pendragon Manor.
The Pendragon family reunited after four years. Even Leo got emotional looking at this scene.
Because Leonard never knew what a mother's love is. When he is two years old, his father Soze Armstrong is stationed at a new resource planet called Nostra which is acquired by Kings organization by defeating an alien race from other dimension occupying it.
After the cleanup of remaining alien species, the organization let the soldiers and commanders stationed to bring their families and colonize Nostra.
Everything is going fine at first. People from Kings developed the colony so well that there are also people who want to settle in Nostra.
But everything changed after a year. The other dimension aliens forcefully opened a portal between two different dimensions near Nostra and used suicide attacks to kill people.
Over eight billion people died because of those suicide attacks. By the time reinforcements arrived, not more than three hundred thousand people are alive, including injured.
As a Major ranked soldier at Nostra, Soze had to stay with the army to coordinate his division to defend and fight against the dimension aliens.
Because of this he couldn't reach his wife who died protecting Leo.
Leo who is not even 3 years old doesn't know what to do other than crying in the embrace of his dead mother. As the only survivor of his division, Soze is filled with anguish but after coming back to his destroyed home when and saw his wife and son, it turned Soze into a maniac.
First, he took Leo to kings city and dropped him with his friend, Cyrillus, and told him to take care of his son for some time.
After that, Soze volunteered himself to the special force assigned to search and destroy all the dimensional aliens in the central universe.
He killed hundred of millions of the dimensional aliens to quench his anger. At that time he got the name, Soze the maniac.
Because of constant battles, his power level entered Galaxy grade within six years from mid-level Planet grade. At last, with the help of Lord Edward (Old First), he controlled himself and finally went back to kings city after 7 years.
Cyrillus is known as one of the best mechanized engineers in the central universe. Being in care of him, Leonard got acquainted with this field.
By the time Leo is 8 years old, he is well versed in mechanized engineering (1) including software and hardware development and weapons engineering.
Seeing this, Cyrillus took Leo under him as his disciple. Like this, Leo became the one and only disciple of Cyrillus at 9.
When Soze came back and looked at his son, he became ecstatic, and after knowing the development of Leonard in mechanized engineering, he also became proud.
But growing up without his parents around him, Leo became overwhelmed by the love shown by Soze at first but later with time bonding with his father became strong.
Looking at the Paul's family, Leo thought, "if my mother didn't die, maybe my family might also look like this"
"Paul, you haven't introduced your friend to us yet," said Caroline to Paul, while looking at Leo.
After the touching reunion of Pendragons, they moved into the house followed by Amelia, Leonard and staff. Caroline gave some instructions for staff about the accommodations for Leonard and Amelia.
Sitting on the sofa inside the Mansion's hall, Caroline is fascinated with the purple eyes of Leonard. So she asked about Leo first.
"This is my friend Leonard, I met him in one of my trips," Paul said with a straight face.
Hearing this, both Robert and Caroline didn't ask further question about Leo and asked Paul about his trip.
"Well, I went around a lot of places" answered Paul.
Listening to what Paul said, they didn't ask him further questions about his trip too.
"You guys take a rest. You must have been exhausted with all the journey. Butler Sam will show you to your rooms. If you need anything, just ring the bell in your room," said Caroline to both Amelia and Leonard.
"Paul, you come with us to the study. We need to talk" later, she said to Paul with a stern face. Looking at her face, Paul said nothing and followed his parents to their study.
"Arthur Paul Pendragon, enough with you lies. Tell us the truth. Where have you been all this time?" inside the study Caroline and Robert stood in front of Paul and Caroline asked him.
"Just a second" said Paul and opened his virtual device and scanned the entire room. Both Caroline and Robert are shocked looking at the hologram coming from a device on Paul's hand resembling a watch.
Before they could exclaim, Paul went to a big mahagony table where usually Robert does his work and smashed it with his fists.
This time Robert yelled "No!!!" seeing his favourite table in pieces, but he is thinking about how his son became so strong.
Paul didn't mind all this and took out a small listening device out of one of the broken pieces of the table and crushed it.
"That's the table given by Elder Thomas to me. How can there be a listening device in there? I already scanned it using a detector," said Robert with disbelief, looking at Caroline and Paul.
"Dad, Mom. I didn't want on any world trip" said Paul.
"We already knew that" said the couple in unison.
"How?"
"In all this years, you have never used your card for any payments. Even though if you have some other means to get money, from the moment you left the house I kept surveillance on you," said Robert.
"But what puzzled us is, after you went into your apartment that night. You disappeared. We checked every footage from airports, railway stations, Harbour and even border security from all over United Kingdom but we never found a trace of you," this time Caroline said with distraught.
"Oh!! really. Well, I'm sorry about causing you a lot of trouble," said Paul apologetically.
"Now shut the damn lies and tell us what happened," yelled Caroline.
"Okay, fine"
And Paul said then everything about what happened from the time he met with Old First to his massacre for three hours.
In this three hours, the faces of the couple changed from shock to amazement and again to shock for the total time listening to what Paul is saying.
"So you mean you met with an alien and this alien took you to the center of this galaxy, where you unlocked your gene potential making you strong," said Caroline dazed.
"Basically, yes" replied Paul. Though there the people at the central universe are also humans but in the point of view of Earth, they are aliens. So we can consider Old first as an alien.
Silence...
There is absolute silence in the room.
"Mom? Dad?"
There is no reply to Paul's calling.
Just two blank faces.
