Chapter 479: Chapter 479: Like a family

"It has to be the celebration of the year!" The King's voice echoed through the clamorous hall that was filled with officers of the highest ranks. "My dearest commander has secured the future of the kingdom for us!" 

Luna glanced at the alpha tucking an imaginary strand of hair behind her ear. She quickly caught herself and lowered her hands, reminding her to act like the boy she looked. Liam looked tense, his eyes straying every now and then towards the invisible marks on his hands that had faded quite a while back. 

He did not seem to have heard the king's announcement. Or maybe even if he did, he chose to ignore it. Which of the both were true,  she did not know. The old man went on to instruct the chamberlain of what and what not to do, praising Liam again and again.
