Chapter 10: A Comatose Shin Ah
A moment of silence passed then the man answered through the phone, "Okay but aside from owing me a favor, please help me find a way to go back."
The senior doctor sighed in relief, "Thanks Lavian! I'll owe you a favor. Okay, bye!"

Shin Ah fell into coma.
Her pathetically unadorned eyelashes were shaped as a fan, casting shadows on her almost translucent skin.
Her full and pouty lips, her slightly curved dark eyebrows, her button like nose is the epitome charm. And there's no way you can't deny that she's simply perfect. An alluring but pure beauty.
The serene way of her slow but steady breathing makes you believe that she's not just any ordinary patient but a sleeping beauty.
She's just laying there on one of those old sick bed as the withered leaves falls down one by one on a dusty road. Cold chilling winds sent shivers through the unadorned ward as the tree's dances gracefully along with the wind. Birds chirping happily as the sunlight shrimpy shined the whole place from the opened window, creating such a peacefully tranquil scene to unfold.
Shin Ah lost the track of the time she keeps walking and walking–and walking through the dark and seemingly deep chasm of unending nightmare.
Like a lost lamb, she walked here and there, left and right, forward and backward until she lost count of her steps. Mentally exhausted, she sat down and look at the reflection of her face at the ground that came out from nowhere.
"Am I that tired that my face looks more beautiful right now?"
She mused as she inspected her new face. Tilting it side by side, she humorously laughed at the situation she's in.
"Ahh, what a dumb fucker life that I have."
"Am I in a coma?"
She stretched her hands backward, her palms supported her weight and looked above.
"This shitheaded God."
Seconds, minutes, hours or maybe days passed by like that, but she's still sitting there. While in the real world, she's just sleeping daintily like a flower.
But we always know that flower blooms and withered quickly. It's the matter of time.
A week ellapsed by just like that in the real world before the hospital decided to call Lavian to pick her up. They cannot afford such a money burning patient.
Lavian came in not long after and hastened the workers to move her gently. They speed up as they settled her in an ambulance while Lavian was following them from behind, driving his own car.
Soon enough they reached his home. They picked up Shin Ah who's deeply sleeping and placed her on a soft mattress. Slipping out of the house, the workers bowed respectfully and wished Shin Ah a speedy recovery.
Lavian came back to the room where Shin Ah lies. Looks at her quietly and in a blurry and indistinct voice he said, "Wake up faster you stunning burden, cause you're my hope."
He stands up and walks toward the door and decisively marched out of the room.
But he didn't know how Shin Ah's tightly closed eyes trembled a little and goes back normally as if nothing ever happened in the first place.
While his out of the room, he called Lavina and said that the patient is here so be back at home quickly.

Shin Ah was bored out of her wits.
"Screw this shit."
She cursed softly.
"I can't take this anymore. If I stay here a minute longer, I'm quite certain that I'll be a mad fucker."
"Sigh. When will I wake up?"
Closing her eyes as she tilted her head upwards, she asked particularly to no one, "But will I ever have a chance to open my eyes again?"
She listlessly sat down and hugs her arms close to her chest and huddled up her legs. She let her curled body fall down limply as she slowly close her eyes.
And her voice echoes and lingered throughout the dark chasm.
