Chapter 22: Chuunin exams (Part-4)
Inside the venue, Hokage announced the start of the competition.
Altogether, 8 Genins were taking part in Chuunin finals this time.
Naruto's fight with Neji in the first match of the finals was a very dramatic one.
During the fight, Neji lectured Naruto much as he had done with Hinata during the preliminaries, telling Naruto that failures remained failures and that this could not change.
Naruto eventually won the battle through a combination of the demon fox's power sealed within him and sheer belief in victory.
In the process, he changed Neji's outlook on life and inspired him to create his own fate, thus forming another important bond.
The second match, which featured Sasuke versus Gaara, was moved to be the last, as Sasuke hadn't arrived yet. Normally he would have been disqualified on the spot, but his match had been highly anticipated — in fact, some of the crowd commented they had mostly come just to see him fight, forcing the Third Hokage to give in to the Kazekage's request to postpone the match.
The third match, which featured Shino versus Kankurō, was given to Shino on default since Kankurō forfeited to "keep his techniques a secret" before the invasion was launched.
The fourth match was Temari versus Shikamaru. Both Temari and Shikamaru were excellent strategists, but Shikamaru was better. Although it appeared throughout the match that Shikamaru was using pointless attacks, he was actually five steps ahead and managed to skilfully manipulate Temari into a position where he could attack from behind, using the tunnel which Naruto had dug during his match with Neji to stealthily extend his Shadow Imitation Technique.
This took control over Temari's body and forced her to imitate every one of Shikamaru's movements. Temari just couldn't keep up with Shikamaru's incredible brain, which keeps him 4-5 steps ahead of everyone. And just when they think they are catching up, He was right behind them for a surprise attack. Of course, that's only if he wasn't highly motivated to lie around.
Although Shikamaru could have won... he quit instead, saying that he was too low on chakra. His real reason for quitting, however, is because he is incredibly lazy and saw no point in winning, which would only lead to having to fight in further matches.
He also didn't want to hurt a girl since it would be too troublesome.
Gaara versus Sasuke came around again. This was the battle that the crowd had been looking forward to. Sasuke arrived right on time as the match was about to begin. Sasuke demonstrated that his speed had vastly increased, to the point where the sand guarding Gaara could not keep up.
This speed took Rock Lee months of hard work to train, and because of Sharingan, Sasuke only took a few days. Just because he was born lucky. This leaves the bad taste in Gai's mouth.
Sasuke also demonstrated Chidori, a technique he had learned from Kakashi and Kakashi's only original technique, to injure Gaara.
Seeing this, the urgency in Imposter Kazekage increased.
Kazekage immediately glanced at Baki under the stands, Baki understood and informed Sand Ninja's Ninjas to prepare for battle.
Before the match could finish, a smoke bomb was set off in the Kages' box. Kabuto, who was actually working for Orochimaru, used the Genjutsu to put almost everybody in the crowd to sleep, and the Konoha Crush commenced.

Hayate was killing some Chuunins with his blade when in front of him Baki appeared in a blur.
As he swings his Kunai at him, But Hayate dodged by backflipping.
"Leaf-Style: Crescent Moon Dance", Hayate yelled
Hayate creates two shadow clones before proceeding to assault the enemy, with the clones attacking from the left and right and Hayate attacking from above. The assault occurs on three fronts simultaneously; it was almost impossible to catch the opponent flat-footed.
Hyaaaa
Hayate swing his blade and hit it in his shoulder.
*Huff*Huff
"This village sure has talented people", Baki said with a killer smile as he held Hayate's blade.
"But a blade of wind can not be stopped by anyone"
Winds occurred at Baki's fingers threatening to swallow Hayate.
"HAYATE", A purple hair Anbu came running to him but was stopped by sound shinobis.
She merely was able to dodge the attacks of the enemies, but to her horror, the winds engulfed Hayate.

The winds disappeared just like that.
All who witnessed this including Baki, Hayate, were shocked.
"What happened", Baki asked clearly in shock.

In the stands, Tenten kicked one sand shinobi after another, protecting her father, as both of them were trapped.
Boooooommmmm
A blast took place. separating her from her old man.
The old bulky man was just a civilian. As he was buried under all the rubble of the stadium.
"DAD"
She tried to rush at him. but a shinobi slashed at her from behind.
She gritted her teeth as she fell down on her face.
She could only see the heavily bleeding old man of hers. As he was barely keeping his eyes open. As he stretches his bloody hand at her.
Tears fell from her eyes.
The sand shinobi behind her was about to end her life when suddenly, thousands of black dark colored tendrils tear through the ground and bind all the shinobis behind her.

The Old man smiled a little, 'Punk', seemingly knowing what saved his precious daughter. His daughter, much to annoyance, talks a lot about this boy. She talks about him a whole lot.
"You are late, idiot", Tenten muttered between tears as she ran towards the old man who has fallen unconscious between the rubble.
And, in a matter of seconds, All the chakra of sand shinobis behind her was sucked.

"AAAHHHH!" A scream tears through the air. A Genin hearing the voice ran with all his might towards the stands
"KAA-SAN!"
He bolts out of the booth, straight over the balcony. As he vaguely makes a note of a Sound team leaping into the contestant booth.
"KAA-SAN! WHERE ARE YOU?"
"Where is she? Where is my kaa-san? Who made her scream? Who hurt her..!!"
"NO! Don't kill him! Don't kill Fujita! Not him! Please!" She's begging a Suna shinobi to not cut off the Genin's tou-san's head"
"I won't get there in time"..!! The Genin pushes himself as fast as he can go. He is not going to make it though.!!
The sun glints off the raised blade of the Suna shinobi. He swings it down. The Little Kid's tou-san's head rolls off his body and falls to the ground.
"No.!!"
He was only halfway across the arena. Kaa-san is kneeling over tou-san's corpse, bawling her eyes out. The Genin cried while running, he couldn't save the old man. He couldn't save his tou-san.
The Suna shinobi raises his blade again.
"NO!" He roar. "KAA-SAN!"
He was only seconds away. She looks up at the sound of her child's voice.
With tears in her eyes, He heard her say "We always loved you."
The blade falls.
Her head thuds to the ground.
NOOOOOOOO
An angry howl of a wolf resounded the village at that very same moment.
Awoooooooooooooo

The wolfs cried for the blood spoiled.
The entire surrounding area begins to be shrouded in darkness. It started a little slow but then goes in and out of sight at will from within the dark realm.
The fighting stopped at that moment.
No one could see anything.
The thick dark fog surrounded the village. As though engulfing the entire world inside it.
Many shinobis; tired to do the wind Jutsu.
But the moment they blew the winds. Their Jutsu break down.

From the shadows, eyes emerged as Huge shadow wolfs appeared from the Very Thick mist.
