Chapter 30: Coexistence

In this forgotten era, the existence of two different souls and two different memories in a single body is completely possible. This is another form of cultivation called Bi Parity or Dual Equivalence. This cultivation is highly dangerous and known to be only exclusive practice of the skilled masters from the Soul Practitioners in the Empire of Ma. This is a very risky cultivation as the two souls need to be in the equal state inside the body like the balance of Yin-Yang for them to coexist.

Bi Parity will only be successful if all requirements are being observed and not a single one is compromised. Furthermore, this cultivation does not only requires mastery but it also needs the complete willingness of the original owner of the body and the collaboration from two memories inside the brain. Otherwise the mind of the person and the behavior of the body will greatly be affected!

Emperor He Mo was still an eight year old child when the elder of Ma Empire requested his soul to be sealed inside the body of the young emperor. The elder did not ask the eight year old child to coexist in the same body but he just requested to the child for him to secure his soul and memories within. When he sealed his soul to the young child, he did not even think nor have a slight hint that the ordinary boy in the past would become a ruler of an empire!

At that time, this elder even thought that sealing his soul and memory to an ordinary child will not alert the people who are after his legacy. Alas! Fate had really played him this time! Not only the ordinary child he chooses to bear his legacy became an emperor, his soul had actually awakened! Some highly skilled Soul Practitioner will definitely sense this awakening!

At first, the elder only feared that if his physical body dies, someone would steal his soul and his memories. There are horrifying things that he had recorded in his memory. It will definitely bring calamity and disaster if placed in the hands of evil people.

When the body of the elder died, he never thinks of his soul being awakened. This is the reason why when the soul of the elder wakes up from its slumber state, the emperor immediately collapsed! It can be seen as a miracle that the young emperor did not lose his sanity since the side effect of the Bi Parity cultivation is madness as the brain will be chaotic because of the two different memories.

The young emperor was not well informed when the elder sealed his soul and memories on his body. Luckily, this young emperor has a strong psychological foundation and is also clear headed! When the emperor had fallen into a deep sleep, a dream came to visit him. He was in a wilderness with a body of the dying elder from the Empire of Ma. The whole body of the elder is almost torn by several arrow wounds. Judging from his condition, it seems like he is already in front of the death's door! Although his body is heavily wounded his eyes was full of determination. He is searching for something and refuses to give up his life. He had silently prayed for anyone, no matter who is it to be able to find him in such vast and desolate wilderness.

The elder is slowly crawling on the ground when he saw the innocent boy with a pail in his hands. As their eyes made a strong connection, he felt a sudden spark. The elder stared at the boy as he hurriedly put the pail on the ground and attended his wounded body.

"Senior, your wounds are too many. It is impossible for you to survive. But be at ease, I will give you a proper burial here. I will not let the animals feast your dead body." the elder heard what the young child said and for that brief moment he was amazed of how clear headed this child was! The way he perceives the things around him is beyond his age! Even in his dying state, the elder felt deep admiration to the child. The heavens have heard my prayer! The elder silently thought.

"Child, you are clear headed! You got it right, my physical body will not survive with these wounds but my soul and memories can! I am an elder from the Empire of Ma. I have a way to preserve my soul and memories. These two contains my legacy. I want to leave my soul and memories to you. Don't worry, it will not cause any harm on you for I shall seal it to sleep. This legacy will only rest in slumber within your body. There are people who are after me and want to steal this legacy. You have to make sure that they will not get these things or the consequences will be dire! You must help me escape!" the wounded elder whispered to the innocent child.

"Senior, please don't get me wrong. It is not that I don't believe what you have told me but I am just a young boy. I am also born in an ordinary family. This thing you just told me is not on my caliber! I cannot do it." the child responded decisively. This is a proof that, at such young age the child is aware of his own capabilities.

"Time is running and you are the only hope I have. The people who are after me will not suspect a child like you but if things become worst, this senior will not blame you. But do your best to escape." the elder explained as his breathing became more heavy and rugged.

"In that case, I will not object to your request anymore senior." the child stated and within a blink of an eye, the elder took his last breath.

His soul and memories have long been transferred and sealed in the child's body without him feeling a thing. The moment the elder's dying eyes met with the clear dark orbs of the child, the elder had actually started transferring his soul and memories. When the child saw that the elder had stop breathing, he quickly gathered some leaves and placed them in them on top of the dead body.

"Senior, I am sorry for this burial. Before you died, I said I will make it proper but since you have told me to escape, this is the only thing I can do for your body. I am now leaving." the young boy spoke to the body that was already covered with leaves before he left in haste.

This scene is playing inside the dream of Emperor He Mo. To a normal person, it would really just like a dream about the past. But to him, it was far more than just a dream. It was the memory of the elder whose soul was sealed but now becomes partially awakened! At that moment, those memories are gaining dominance in the emperor's brain since he is in a sleeping state.

The dream like scene continued to play in the mind of the young emperor. This time, the entire settings have changed. The place is no longer in the wilderness. It was now on the fourth room of an inn inside the Empire of Hu.

This was the time when Ye Shin had made a decision to wrap all the entire internal organs of Emperor He Mo as a form of preparation against possible threats. Unbeknownst to them, when the internal force of the lady enters the brain of the young emperor, the immense calmness that Emperor He Mo had felt that time also touched the dormant memories of the elder.

Then when the internal force of Ye Shin reached the emperor's heart, the feeling of weightlessness also came in contact with the sealed soul of the elder. Gradually, the resting soul and memories of the elder consumed the inner force wrapped around the two organs of the emperor as the two continued their journey towards the Ru Empire. Little by little, the once sealed and inactive legacy from the elder of Ma Empire has finally awakened without them realizing its tiny movements.

Emperor He Mo was not sure but when he wakes up, he had felt that the elder from the Empire of Ma had left him a message during his sleep. Each words were freshly remembered in his mind the moment he opened his eyes.

"Child, the awakening of my soul will potentially alert the enemies in the past. When I died in the wilderness, I have never thought of this day that I will be awakened once again. The internal force that I consumed had allowed me to gain vitality. Rest assured, I will not take over your body, instead every time you sleep I will teach you how to cultivate my soul. Originally, I only want an escape and it is not my intention to coexist but since I am awake now, we have no other choice. You must learn Bi Parity! Find it in my memories, the cultivation of Bi Parity, otherwise, madness will take over your brain."
