Chapter 7: She Drives Me Crazy

Jace's POV

We are in the dining hall eating our last dinner at the training camp, and I felt relieved that the training was over. I am finally an Elite Bodyguard of the White family, but I am still angry about her. How could she question my credibility? I am competent, and she has no right to insult me in front of my comrades.

"Hey! Jace, why do you think Ms. Miracle objected to your spot? I mean, she wanted to replace you with Ronan. What happened, bro?" Charles never stops asking me what happened earlier, from the moment the Whites left the training camp.

"Well, I think because she smiled at me, and I just returned it with a frowned?" I said I couldn't hide my irritation.

"Holy shit! Did she smile at you?" He asked. I just nodded.

"You are crazy Jace, how could you scowl at her? She is our boss technically because we are assigned to be with her all the time." Said Mike. He was also one of the top five.

"I know, right, and I don't know what had gotten into me. Honestly, maybe I was influenced by the articles I read about Miracle. I hate a spoiled brat." I said, looking at them. The five of us are celebrating our success being the newly hired bodyguards of the White family.

"Bro, we can't judge her yet. We only saw her once, but I think she is not spoiled. I kinda like her." Mark said he is grinning at us.

"Me too, I like her, I hate to admit, my girlfriend is right, she is gorgeous. I fought with my girl, because of this job, she got jealous, you know, I just told her to relax because the moment I am out from the job, I can finally marry her, and buy a house and a new car." Chris said seriously.

"Wow! You figure it out, bro, but we have to be careful. It was stipulated in the contract, if the Heiress doesn't like our performance, she can kick us out, if she wanted to terminate our services, Mira could do it in one blink of an eye, but we will be given enough compensation that is why you have to keep it cool Jace, she hates you already you better be extra careful from now on." Miles said he is the oldest among us, but he is only 25.

"Yeah! I know, I hate her, that's all." I said, then I finished drinking my beer in one gulp, then I stand up.

"I will go ahead, guys," I said to them, they pat my back, and I walked to my room thinking about Miracle.

We arrived early at the White estate by riding the private helicopter, and the place is so broad, she is living like a princess, their home looks like a castle, she is an only child, how could they live in this gigantic house. Mr. Roger instructed us to meet Jimmy, the head of the Elite Bodyguards. I like him instantly, he welcomed us warmly, and he is funny, he is older than us, by how many years, but his experience and knowledge is excellent.

Jimmy gives us a tour of the property. Our room is found at the back of the mansion, and we have our space. We don't need to wash our clothes, cook our food, and clean our rooms. Thomas White provides us a cleaning lady, a laundry lady, and a cook. I didn't know this kind of luxury existed. Just thinking about it spending millions of money just for protection, I don't want to be a billionaire anymore.

I was living like a millionaire already having our maid, but I am used to doing all the chores at home since I was young. I always help my mom. Since I don't want her to get sick, I avoided parties growing up because I need to help my mom pay the bills until my father died. He left us a tremendous amount of money.

We could buy a decent house, cars, and I could study college without thinking about how to pay all the bills. Though I only know him later, I am glad and grateful to know my Dad. Mom hates him for choosing his career over us, but he never gets married again. He loves my mom and asked her to be with him, but my mom was so stubborn, she chose to stay away from my Dad, and keep me hidden from him.

"The five of you will have your first duty today. Just be ready. Ms. Mira will go out today." Jimmy said. We all nodded at him.

After we eat our breakfast, I was informed that we need to wear suits today, since she is having a luncheon with one of his father's friends, at the E. Diamond Club, it is one of the famous clubs all over the country, of course, only billionaires can afford to be a member of the E. Diamond Club.

I am shocked to find the suits on my bed, when I come back to my room, wow Armani Fitted Tuxedo Suit, I can never afford this kind of suit, now I know why they measured us during our training, maybe I can sell the suits after I finished my contract.

We are all waiting for Ms. White in the living room. All of my co-bodyguards looked so formal and handsome. All of them were stunned, the moment she walked down on the right side of the imperial staircase, the staircase has a royal style and appearance, the perfectly made colored gold handrailings make the aspect of the staircase regal, and you can feel that you are in a palace.

She looks like a princess, and she is wearing a simple red haltered, long gown, she walks fluidly, I can't take away my eyes from her, she looks so delicate and lovely.

"Good morning Ms. White." We said in unison.

"Good Morning!" She said. Her angelic voice makes me want to capture her in my arms, and I want to taste her lips. Still, Mira made me stopped my daydream the moment her eyes meet mine, she gives a beautiful smile to my colleagues, but it suddenly disappeared when she saw me looking at her, I don't smile either I just smirk. She hates me.

I can feel the tension in the air. What is wrong with my lady boss? Maybe I should ask for an apology, but why should I, Jimmy tasked me to drive her, I am scheduled to drive her this week, I get inside the Rolls Royce Sweptail, I am so excited driving this very expensive car, I can feel the rapid beating of my heart, but what makes me so nervous, is the woman sitting beside me.

I am trying to concentrate, but how can I focus when I can smell her sweet fragrance? I wanted to touch her hand and caress it, what is wrong with me, she is off limit, but I have this urge to touch her, she looks so angry, no matter how exasperated she is, she still looks so beautiful, I think I need to ask sorry about what I did to Miracle.

"Ms. White, I." She cut me off before I can finish my line.

"Mr. King, you are not allowed to talk unless I told you so." She said, giving me a stern look. I can feel my whole face is turning red. She is a bitch, and I count one to three to control my anger. I wanted to drive faster until Miracle screams to death. I know she is my boss's daughter. Still, Mira has no right to insult me, and I have the freedom to talk. She drives me crazy.

"You don't like me, I don't like you too, the feelings are mutual, according to your contract you are not allowed to get close to your employer, I want you to focus on your job protecting me, don't talk to me anymore, and we will be good." She said calmly.

"Okay fine, but hear me out, just this time only. I am so sorry for what I did at the training camp. I should have given you proper respect, you are my boss, but instead, I scowled at you. I want you to know, and I don't hate you, Ms. White." I said, at least I was able to tell her what is in my heart and mind. She didn't say anything, and she just continued looking at the highway.

"I don't have any reason to hate you, it was all my fault, and for that, I am sorry. Rest assured, I will keep my distance from you, I know I am just an employee, and you are the boss. I only wanted to say sorry, that is all, don't worry, this will be the last time that I will talk to you." I said, then I give her my beautiful smile. I don't care if she hates me. I want to provide her with one of my killer smiles, and she didn't respond, so I keep quiet. She is something.

I can see the sadness in her eyes, and there is something about her that I wanted myself to uncover. I can see the loneliness and emptiness in her whole face. I wanted to give her comfort, but I am only an employee. What is going on with her personal life is not my concern anymore, but why I can feel it that I am captivated by her, I wanted to be close to her, to make her smile at me.

I know I am now in big trouble, I have to stay focus on my job, I am still planning to do my revenge, I don't know how I am going to hurt her not physically, I wanted to teach her a lesson, for making my Dad lost his life. She needs to pay for everything, all the pain that I suffer after losing my Dad.

I need to make you feel how hurting it was, losing him just after we became close. There are so many things I want to talk to my dad about, and I want to spend more time with him, but because of this woman, I never got the chance to travel with him, there are a lot of things we wanted to do together.

Miracle White, I will make you pay for what you have done. Still, I can't avoid and deny the fact that I am attracted to her, how am I going to execute my plans when I am feeling this way, I don't want to hurt her anymore, but I have to. I don't want to waste all my years of planning and plotting vengeance, and I won't let her live her life happily while I am still suffering over the loss of my father. I am still in denial. How can I forget my father's face after the incident? It was all over the news.

I wanted to find her on that day and let her pay for what she had done, but I was only eighteen at that time. I don't have money to pay for the plane tickets, and mom was begging me to stay by her side. I wanted to come and get his cadaver, but the White family take good care of everything, then only after we received his money was I able to visit his grave.

My Dad has a beautiful house in New York and California. I don't dare to go over his things yet, all the properties of my Dad were left under my name, I am his sole beneficiary for everything, of course, Thomas White knew about it, I thought being registered under my mother's surname, he is not going to find out about me, how stupid I am, of course, he knew everything about my father, he is rich and powerful, and a close friend of my Dad.
