Chapter 18: HE'S BACK

DEYRO'S POINT OF VIEW(POV)

"What happened to her?" The nurse at the clinic asked,

"She fainted," I answered,

We are at the university's clinic, Calesie fainted a minutes ago in the music room so I immediately carried her all the way here,

Calesie is now resting on the bed inside the clinic, I looked at her while seated beside her she looked like she has seen a ghost earlier, She is so pale and she is sweating a lot

*CALESIE MOANING*

She looked like she's in pain,

"Nurse, how is she?" I asked as I looked at Calesie moaning because of pain,

"She's alright sir, base on how she is, I think she fainted because of exhaustion, she should take a rest for today,"

"Thank you so much,"

"I will be right there sir when you need me," The nurse left going to her table in front of the clinic, I was alone with her,

"*CALESIE MOANING* Ple-Please come ba-back," She's sleep talking,

"*CALESIE CRYING* Please don't.... don't leave me," I was shocked because as she said that, she held my hand tightly,

What is this...

Feeling?

"Deyro?"

"Calesie, You're awake! how are you feeling?"

"Deyro..." As she calls my name, she just suddenly started crying while still laying on the bed,

"Calesie? Why are you crying? What's wrong? "

"Deyro the girl....."

"Who? A Girl?"

"The girl was alone..... The girl went into the darkroom, She is all alone there... I tried saving her but my feet doesn't want me to... I wanted to be with her but...." She was crying a lot like she's in panicked, Her eyes were reddish because of crying and wiping the tears away, Her face is wet because of the tears, I think it was her dream, her nightmare,

"Calesie it's just a bad dream, it's okay, It's not real," I tried comforting her, but she was shaking her head crying, she didn't agree with me that all of that was just a dream,

"It's not a dream, She's real, I can feel that she's real, She's inside my memories, but... I don't know who she is,"

"Calesie, You have to calm down, the nurse said all of this was because of exhaustion, You have to lay down and rest okay? I will be beside you,"

"But..." She tried to get up but I stopped her by touching her head with my finger pushing her head down,

"Tried to rest here, then if you're okay to stand up, you can go back to your apartment,"

"But Deyro... We have to practice for the performance,"

"We... We are going to finish that tomorrow, for now, it's important you rest so that you will have energy tomorrow,"

Calesie followed what I said, She closed her eyes and tried to sleep,

I only realized now that.....

I am still holding her hand, I can feel she's trembling, I wonder what kind of past did Calesie have, She still looks so gloomy, whenever I saw her even though sometimes she's smiling,

I let go of her hand when she finally fell asleep, I checked the time, It's 6:00 Pm, I don't want to think about it but because we don't have enough practice there's a possibility that we might fail for tomorrow's project,

I looked at Calesie while thinking about it, I noticed that she's really beautiful up close, the color of her hair suits her pale white face, even her bangs suit her, her long eyelashes and her pinkish lips... Wait,

What am I thinking?!

"Sir, are you going to stay here for a while?" I turned around and looked at the nurse standing beside us while smiling,

"Yes, I will wait for her to wake up,"

"Okay sir, " The nurse left us again, I have to stop looking at her, the nurse knows me, I hope the nurse won't misunderstand anything,

*1 HOUR LATER*

I waited for Calesie to wake up, she is asleep for almost one hour now,

but then suddenly her eyes slowly opened,

"Deyro?"

"Calesie you're awake, how are you feeling? are you feeling okay now?"

"I am fine..... " She sat down, then looked at me with her puffy eyes

"Just a little dizzy... What time is it?" She continued,

"It's 7:13 in the evening" I answered looking at my watch,

"What?! Our practice, we have to practice, " She attempted to stand up but she lost her balance, I helped her maintain her balance by holding her arm,

"No Calesie it's okay, you're still weak, We can practice tomorrow, "

"But tomorrow is the day of the performance, We have to do well tomorrow, I am fine, just a little dizzy but I am fine, we can practice," She removes my hand holding her arm, then stand up straight

"But Calesie you are not well,"

"I am okay Deyro, I already rested so I am fine, See, I can walk straight, Let's go or else I'll leave you behind," She said walking towards the clinic's exit,

I wanted to stop her because I am worried that she's pushing herself to do the project, but I wanted us to do well tomorrow, I have to pass tomorrow because if I pass I will have my chance to debut, I didn't get to debut 3 years ago because the judges didn't consider me as a good dancer, Singing is the only thing that I am good at, But I will change that, If I pass, I can debut to the project called project stars, I will debut 4 years from now, I will prove myself to my father that I have made the right choice, My dad will be there tomorrow and I am sure of it, he's not a judge but he is gonna be there for sure,

Calesie and I arrived at the music room to practice, I opened the door then enter with Calesie following me, I looked at the piano in the center of the room and noticed that it's open, but I remembered that I close the piano before leaving,

Did someone use it?

We went to the piano, then Calesie and I sat beside each other,

"The wallet is not here anymore," Calesie shockingly asked

"The owner must have retrieved it,"

"If that's the case then good for him, I'm sure it's important to him because even though the wallet is old, he didn't throw it away,"

She was smiling, but like I said, even though Calesie is smiling

Her eyes were telling me she's sad inside

"Let's start," I said,

"Yeah, but...." She hesitated,

She looks so pale again like she's scared, is she feeling dizzy?

"What's wrong? are you dizzy?" I worriedly asked,

"No, No, That's not it, I'm not dizzy or anything...." She denied while waving both of her hands in front as a gesture that she's denying it,

"Then what's wrong?"

"Can you do me a favor?"

"Yeah sure, what is it?"

"Tomorrow, Can you play the piano alone, I don't want to play the piano again," I was confused at first because of what she said, but...

"Yeah, Sure, why not, I will play the piano alone, Then you can just write the wring notes on our sheet, "

I will try and understand her,

Like what she requested, We worked together correcting the notes or changing it with a better one, It was hard since we are not a professional composer but.....

I can see Calesie has potential

She was good at listening to sharps and flats, even though she can't see my finger playing, she knows what chord I am playing and what note I am hitting, I admit that she has a future, she can listen well to music, she can tell what emotions the melody is giving and she's doing it easily when it's hard for me,

We also did the lyrics which took 2 hours for us to finish, We decided to make our song an inspirational one so our song's title is, Dreams To Achieve,

After hours!

"We're finished! I can't believe we're finished Deyro," She excitedly shouted, Her voice echoed throughout the room,

I checked the time and it's already midnight

"We should go back, we stayed up here for 6 hours now, you should rest, we have a class for tomorrow,"

Calesie nodded as she agrees to what I said, We have to rest, I am sure Calesie is tired,

We close the piano, turn off the light then closed the door of the music room,

"How about I'll walk with you back to your apartment?" I offered

I want to make sure she went back home safely,

"No, it's fine, I can go back by myself?" She refused,

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, of course, I'm sure, I am going ahead now, take care and see you tomorrow," She said waving her hands at me while leaving me standing in front of the music room,

I waved my hands back, smiling at her,

After seconds J can't see her anymore, So I decided to go back to my apartment too

I hope she went back safely, Did she? Why am I getting so worried about her? well, she is my friend now after all, But Calesie is.....

Something else,

I opened the door of my apartment, I went inside then turn on the light, I removed my shoes on the side of the door, then my socks, The floor was cold,

"Didn't know that you're still a playboy Dey?" A familiar voice said behind me,

Don't tell me that he is my new roommate,

"You know that I only love Adeline, C,"

He is sitting on my bed while holding my small ball display in his right hand,

I went to C, then get my small ball display, It will break because he's clumsy, I am sure of it,

"Then what are you doing with that pink-haired girl? It's already late and yet you're still with her, are you secretly dating?" he asked teasing me,

"Shut up, C, She is just my partner for the school project, anyway what are you doing here? I didn't know Mr. Georgio allowed you to get back here in Korea after 2 years of living in the states" I asked,

I sat beside him then put my small ball on my side table,

"Well, My father didn't allow me, I didn't even ask for his permission, this is my decision alone,"

"WHAT?! Are you insane, Your father will kill you,"

"The hell I care about him, I am going to study here, I am already transferred here, I asked Mr. Franco to not tell my father and he said yes,"

"C, don't tell me, This is also your apartment,"

"Okay, I won't tell you,"

He said then stand up while his left hand is inside his pocket,

"Where are you going?"

"I am going to unpack my things and put them in my closet,"

I can't believe that he's back, I thought he hates this country because....

Of his traumatic past

"So, C, How are you?" I asked

"I am fine,"

He went straight to his bed then put his face to his pillow, he must be exhausted

"Why are you back?"

"You don't want me to? I thought we were friends,"

"What I mean is, you have bad memories here in Korea, especially here in this school, isn't it going to affect your mental condition?"

"You see Deyro....." He started then he sat on his bed,

"I have to find someone, It took me a long time thinking about this but, I promised her, I think she is waiting for me,"

C took something out in his pocket, it's an old wallet, he opened the wallet then took an old bracelet lace inside,

"I am going to sleep, I have class tomorrow," he said yawning while putting the old bracelet lace inside the wallet,

"What class are you in?" I hope that he is not my classmate, C is..... C is you know,

A troublemaker

He likes skipping classes, Making professors angry, and worst his always absent,

Since I am the President in the classroom and the president of the SSG OFFICER, Professor Artner will always order me to find him,

"I am in Professor Nana's class,"

"That's great..... ehem... I mean that's a bummer, you're not my classmate,"

"Don't pretend Dey, I know you're delighted that I'm not in your class, I am going back to bed, night,"

C is facing the other side while trying to sleep for tonight,

I remembered what he said, He's here to find someone, and it's a girl, I never thought that he will risk his mental health condition just for his long time friend, and I never thought that besides Adeline, he had another woman he knew,

I wonder if Adeline knows that C is back? and I wonder, how will Adeline feel about
