Chapter 275: The Weekend Date

Emily slowly walked inside her apartment and swiftly closed the front door behind her while making sure to not make any sort of sound.

Her plan was to hurriedly make her way to her bedroom and get changed in comfortable clothes before heading over to Shadow's room to check on him.

However, her luck wasn't as good as she wanted it to be. As soon as she entered the living room, she was greeted by the sight of Shadow standing in the center of the room while staring at her with an unreadable expression on his face.

"S-shadow..." Emily tried to speak but couldn't find the right words to say as the grim look on the man's face was making her nervous. Why did she even think that she won't get caught? When her luck had been good in case of defying Shadow's rules?

"Where have you been?" Shadow asked as he stood still in his place while looking straight into her eyes. His voice came out too calm for Emily's good.
