Chapter 51: Chapter 10

'Where are we?' I asked looking around.
I turned to Minerva. I got worried when she looked pale. I hold her left hand. It was cold as ice. I scoop her face. Her eyes are burning and I can hear her heartbeat palpitating.
'Hey... what's happening?' her eyes rolled and she falls on my chest. I hugged her before she completely falls on the ground. 'Minerva?!'
'Take me out of here...' she murmurs.
She's shaking and felt so cold.
'I will take you out.' I need to remain calm for her, so we could leave this place since it's making her sick. I carried her to my arms and look around. There must be a way out here. 'Hey, don't sleep.' I told her.
'There's a map on my phone...'
'Phone! Phone!' I find the pocket of her trench coat. I found her phone. 'Password?' she raises her forefinger and put it on the screen. Her print scans and the phone opens. 'Wait! Can you ride on my back?' I asked her gently putting her down. Then I took her arms around me as soon as she was on my back. I piggy ride back her.
I started scanning her phone and look for the map. Maybe it is in her gallery. I found it. She doesn't have lots of pictures. Only the maps and the pictures when they are spying. And I guess I know where we are. We are in the Dark Moon compound. I don't know why she's getting weak. We are unable to go back to Blue Moon without her magic.
She's breathing on my neck while I kept walking to find the exit. According to the map, it is at the main entrance.
The compound is bigger than I thought. Only the Blue Moon had taken the plan on rescuing around here so I don't know many things around here.
'Have you been here?' I asked her.
'No... I have been in a coma...' she murmurs.
'Oh, I forgot. Don't sleep okay? You can sing if you want... I mean please sing for me.'
'I don't sing.' I need to keep her conscious.
'Uh... tell me a story... about your brother.'
'Hmm...' I speed up to find the exit. I know that I am not that far. 'His name is Mars... he was the original God Ares' apprentice. He was five years older than me.'
'Hmm... what does he looks like?' I asked her.
'Handsome... strong...'
'Ah... I need the perfect description.'
'I got his photo on my phone...'
'Okay, I'll just see it later.'
'So, you don't want me to describe him anymore?'
'Wait' I mumbled.
I try not to look around. It's dirty and there seemed to be dead things around. The smell is like decaying bodies or some animals.
It is so disgusting in here. I think I am going to puke on the smell. Maybe it is one of the reasons why she's ill.
I stopped when there's a big black werewolf that appears in front of us. He is growling and his red eyes are burning. My heart started palpitating. Why I feel jumpy? Or was it the adrenaline rush?
'He can never shift into human...' she murmurs. 'And all we can do now is run.'
'Oh-kay...' I raise my hand facing the werewolf. 'Good doggie-doggie...' he growls loud and dangerous. 'Bad doggie... doggie...' then I used my super speed to get out of the place.
I immediately found the exit and I ran as fast as I can while the werewolf is after us.
'Minerva, are you awake?' I asked while in the middle of the rush.
She didn't reply. Shit! There are some wires on the exit and I have to stop. I look at my back and saw the werewolf still running. He jumped over us and I used my super speed to avoid him and he gets stuck in the wires and blood drips on the snow.
I put her down first and grabbed the sharp branch from out of nowhere. Then I strike it to the heart of the werewolf. He growls and whimpers. And I push it harder. I breathe and looked at my mate. She's sleeping. I walk to her.
'Minerva?' I caress her hair. She gently opens her eyes.
'I-I might die if we didn't... ge-t out...'
'Okay... I'll get you out of here.'
I kissed her forehead and carried her into my arms. I look around and found the best exit. I break the old gate with my kick. There's no guard or something and, oddly, no Lycans are facilitating. Maybe they don't expect some intruders.
Then I run and run until we are in the woods away from the compound. We are at least two kilometers away from the compound and her heart is now beating normally. I breathe and I fall on the ground while she's over my chest.
My heart is palpitating from running and I am tired. The smell can make us weak, worst it can make her weak and kill her. What a Happy New Year we had?
'Sweetie...' I call. 'Minerva? Are you awake?'
'Ves...' she murmurs.
'I am here, mate...'
'There're beans on the pouch in my pocket. It's our way to go back to the Blue Moon.'
'Why didn't you say earlier?' I breathe.
'That compound is cursed and all of the negative energy there is sipping my power. Even my potion won't help us there.' She's getting back. I caress her hair.
'Don't worry. We are far away now. We are going to go back to the Kingdom.'
'Hmm...' she gripped her hand on my coat. 'It's cold...'
'Okay... darling. We are going to get there.' I gently sat up looking for her pouch. I found it and there is a small aluminum box I open it and took two beans. I feed the other one to her and I eat the other one.
After we swallowed it in a blink of an eye we are already in the palace. I didn't fall and she didn't fall this time. We are on the carpeted floor embracing each other. I look around and this isn't our room. I heard the moaning of two people.
'Hello?' I call.
'Shit!' I heard them stumbling. The curtains in the four-poster bed open. I wave at the Nathan and Zoë who are all covered up. 'What the fuck are you doing here?!' Nathan scowls at us. I can smell their lovemaking in the air.
'Well, we got into a little trouble and we are back.'
'You know... just take your mate out of our room.' He said annoyed. I know that they are in the middle of sexual intercourse that's why he is annoyed.
'Is she okay?' Zoë asked.
'Yeah, we are supposed to teleport back here but we end up in the Dark Moon compound.' I carried her.
'You have blood on your face.' Zoe noticed.
