Synopsis
Joleene Naylor is the author of the glitter-less Amaranthine vampire universe, a world where vampires aren't for children. Comprised of a main series, a standalone prequel, and several short story collections, she has plans to continue expanding with a trilogy and standalone novels.
In her spare time, Joleene is a freelance book cover designer and for-fun photographer. She maintains several blogs, full of odd ramblings, and occasionally updates her website at JoleeneNaylor.com. In what little time is left, she watches anime, plays PokemonGo, and works on her crooked Victorian house in Villisca, Iowa. Between her husband, family, and pets, she is never lonely, in fact, quite the opposite. Should she disappear, one might look for her on a beach in Tahiti, sipping a tropical drink and wearing a disguise.
Pulled into a world of darkness, Katelina's fate becomes intertwined with that of Jorick, a dark, enigmatic vampire. To stay by his side, she must navigate intrigue, terror and bloodshed as they are drawn from one battle to another. This book is a wonderful read. I look forward to spending lost in the story everyday. I am so glad that the name grabbed my attention and I decided to read it.
I am very glad that I gave this story a read. The author did such a fabulous job on this story The characters were all unique in their own way and you got to know each one of their personalities and story in such a way that it was not overwhelming. I loved the way the storyline developed. Fantastic read. I will be searching for more from this author.
I'd like to try it out because i have nothing to do, turns out it was a good one. Kudos, to the author, it is a novel well written. I'd like to see more

This is a really good story! It's been awhile since I've read something that could capture my attention span to read 693 chapters! There are a lot of complex characters that made the story very interesting. I wish there were more chapters about the other characters and how their own story "ended". Overall, I really enjoyed reading this story!
Such an amazing series. I couldn't stop reading. Some stories when finished, theres an emptiness, like a part of you died. This is not the case with this series, I feel the ending felt more like closure with an old friend.

I really wanted to know more about what happened with Patrick, the author alluded to something, but I'm not sure it was addressed. Overlaps very entertaining story. Would love for this to turn into a series

I absolutely melted into this book! From the first chapter to the last I was thoroughly enthralled. The characters feel so real, the twists and turns are unexpected and keep you engaged! The author leaves you with the character's physically feelings!
I love this book overall as a whole. Really I like all of the characters except one. the main female they made her too stupid. She really took the whole "dumb blonde" to heart. other than that I love the book. wish that we could get another book in the same universe. Maybe something with Samuel maybe five hundred or a thousand years later or something that would be awesome.

Very well written and even paced. The author knows how to tell a story and keep the reader captivated. I haven't read a book that made me feel what the protagonist feels in years. Love this and would love to buy a physical copy!
