Chapter 54: Unexpected meeting
He was going towards the playground when he saw that silhouette around kids. He can only see her back but he was sure who is that person!
Serene!
Soham turned towards the head master immediately "Is that girl over there Serene?" He asked.
He is sure about silhouette but still he can not believe that, whom he badly wanna meet since morning and can only meet her after this weekends end, is actually in front of her unexpectedly!
"Yes, yes. Do you guys know each other? Are you her friend?" The headmaster excitedly asked. He never met or heard anything related to Serene and her friends ever before. He was sometimes concerned too about her.
Soham looked back to Serene. He suddenly felt excitement all over his body. With a nod he replied "Yeah we are in the same college. But not her friend" Yet but soon. He thought.
Headmaster was happy to know that even "Great then! You can yourself join her then. Try to contact with kids too, they will be happy to know new friend. I won't disturb you guys." He said and went on his way.
Soham also went towards Serene right away. He was a little bit anxious about this meet. Anxious to see her in an unexpected place. When they were doing assignments he had lots of topics or stuff to discuss. But now what would he say?
This week they had a great time together. At Least for him. He can't say for sure but according to him he thinks they are now a little bit less awkward to talk to. Now she doesn't restraint herself this much.
For this to happen he put an immense hard work too. He had to irk her a lot to show her irritation. One day she yelled at him too. He enjoyed all this week. But what would happen?
He took a large stride towards her before standing just behind her "Serene." He called her.
Serene was still playing with kids when she heard a familiar voice calling her. When she turned she saw the most unexpected person in front of her. "Soham!"
Soham smiled slightly to see her surprised face. What he likes the most in her is her expression which tells him everything like an open book.
She can't even hide her secrets well from him. He can tell that she is good in hiding her feelings but when it comes to him, she couldn't restrain herself that well, and he is very satisfied with this.
He slightly nodded in affirmation "Hi what's up?" He tried to start the conversation with a slightly tight voice. Like it was very hard to even say these three words.
Serene slightly gaped her mouth to say something but didn't know what to say.
When she didn't reply he thought that she was trying to avoid his presence out of that college, like how others do when they don't want to have any connection with someone out there. He didn't know but he unknowingly pursed his lips and took a step back, knowing that it is possible.
When Serene noticed his slight hesitation to talk to her she immediately replied. "Hi! It's so unexpected to see you here. What are you doing here?" She asked while getting up from the grass slowly. Her back pain is still too much to bear even. She definitely needs to visit the hospital after this day ends.
When finally he got some answer from her he sighed in relief. "Nothing just came here for head master."
"Head master? You know him?" She asked immediately. Headmaster never told her that.
Soham was never used to tell anyone about his reasons to be somewhere or for something but this time he didn't mind to say it truthfully to her. "Yeah I was here to donate some money."
Her eyes widened with realization "Money! Donate! You!" She exclaimed almost loudly. She was stunned. The number of people who can donate in her orphanage are limited and that is five.
Two of them are already Harry and her. And the rest are only Harry's friends. If Soham is three of them then is he...?
