Chapter 271: Soulmates

"What is going on?" Ashwin asked while coming down the staircase.

Aditi held Serene's hand and turned herself with Serene to face Ashwin. Narrowing her eyes at her husband she spoke. "Though I kept him in my belly for nine month, he got no good genes from me. But from you he got all his bad habits."

Ashwin's steps halted with Aditi's comment. In front of all those ruthless and merciless directors or shareholders, he never got scared or even a little nervous. But when it comes to his wife's anger or even taunt, he is nothing but a scaredy-cat. 

Knowing that his wife's anger on his son would anytime take a turn towards him, he didn't dare to step down any more stairs.

Ashwin smiled meekly and asked. "What happened honey?"

"What happened? Your son-"

"Mom, wait." Before Aditi could say anything about Soham, Serene cut off her words in the middle.
