Chapter 154: Far From When It All Started

8 months later… on a particularly special day. 

"Sire, the queen!" A servant exclaimed, still panting from his run from the bedroom to the king's private study. 

Of course, he didn't seem to understand the meaning of private or privacy, but it was a given, considering the news he was to share was terribly urgent.

"What is it?" the king demanded, lifting a head from the pile of paperwork he was working on. He was particularly grouchy, since he had been pried away from his wife at a time she needed his support the most. 

"She's... she's currently in labor," the servant said without giving any further explanation.

It took a second or two for the monarch to react.

King James jumped to his feet in an instant, sending the files he was going over flying wildly in all directions. 

"Bring me to her, at once!" He roared to the terrified, poor and exhausted servant.
