Chapter 39: Gray and Erza
"Kyaah!!!" she scoffed, rolling over in her slovenly sheets as the sunlight hissed at her face. her disheveled, bright red locks were scattered across her pillow. She was suddenly awaken by the sound of knocking on her door. She walked towards it eyes were still shut, "Who is it?" she mumbled sight still blurry "Good morning sunshine, damn we're just going out on a date you don't have to be naked yet" the man said teasingly. She can't understand what the boy was saying but she knew it was her best friend's voice "It's too early Gray, what are you doing here in Fairy Hills boys aren't allowed around here. Oh, yeah! I forgot about the deal" she said yawning raising her hands to have a good stretch, her breast exposed and slightly bouncing. She was only wearing a lacy black panties and a thigh high socks. "Come in, I'll be ready soon. Make yourself at home" then she turned back walking towards the bathroom.
Gray was blushing- cheeks as red as roses luckily Erza is still half asleep and did not notice how he looked like. He had seen her naked many times they even bath together but this is the first time he felt this way, attracted to her and turned on. He pinched the temple of his nose walked towards the bed and sat on the edge waiting for his date. "There is nothing more bewitching than Erza's naked form. In clothing, heads turn her way to admire. Still, they don't know what they're missing and I'm glad.I love her, everything that she is." he said in a low voice "Talking to yourself again Gray? I'm ready let's get going" her voice made him jump, seeing her without her armor made him a little too excited. He held her hands "Today just hold my hands and never let go" he said with a smile.
"So before we continue, I just want to remind you of few things, think of it as the rules and this deal is your mission" He stated, Erza crossed her arms and tapped her foot on the floor "Whatever, go on with it" she said "While we are on dates you should only focus on us, you need to be responsive to whatever I do and please be sweet and try to act as my girlfriend anyway, it will only last a week, no hitting, punching or beating me and no flirting with others but you're allowed to hug me and of course kiss me" he said jokingly and the red head just crinkled her nose at him and nodded.
Gray led her to her favorite bakery before he can open the door for her, Erza was already inside her eyes glittering like of a child's her orbs sparkling her palms closed like she's praying as she jumped from one cake to another seemingly worshiping them from the glass counter. Gray stepped in and stood at her back, leaned close to her ear "so, which one do you like?" he whispered in a soft sweet voice. Erza shuddered and look behind her their face touched almost kissed, this made Gray's cheek show a tint of pink. "Go on, take which ever you like" he broke the awkwardness, she just nodded and went to the baker. "Long time no see Erza chan, you sure are a lovely couple" he commented. Erza is so focused on the best strawberry cheesecake she ever had and ignored his statement "I'll have the Fantasia" she responded to the baker neither denying or confirming her relationship with Gray which the ice mage liked.
They sat on a small round table with two chairs and a big umbrella outside the bakery. There are a lot of people eating there, you can hear chats and laughs from the diners. "A lot has changed over the years, this was just a counter for the bakery shop and now it is a sophisticated cafeteria" she commented smiling and looking around while sitting across her date who is staring at her looking dreamy. Her legs crossed on top of the other, arms crossed just below her breast, hair flowing in the air as wind blows softly. It was too magical for Gray, seeing her like this without her armor and smiling contently. He scanned every inch of her being appreciating the goddess in front of him. The waiter served the cake and Erza's eyes went fan girling over the cake again almost drooling and served the tea that compliments the cake. He sliced a piece and placed it on the plate and served to her she nodded in excitement and started eating the cake. Gray watched her finish the cake as he sips his tea and eats his cake while his eye's not moving away from his target. "Oh, you got some cream" pointing on her own lips, Gray tried to lick it multiple times but seems to always miss it, Erza stood up and leaned towards him brushed her thumb on his lips to remove the cream and ate it, he blushed. She took the strawberry toppings on his cake and played with it in her lips but before she can put the fruit inside her mouth Gray bent over and took the strawberry by his mouth from her slightly parted lips as they touched. It felt like a peck. "What are you doing" said the flustered Erza "This is mine you already had your part, I should say this is the sweetest strawberry I ever had" He answered while chewing and winking at her.
The next day Gray was standing at her door and before he knocked Erza already opened the door. "Let's go" she said grabbing his hand as they walk out of fairy hills Gray smiling foolishly. While walking around town they passed a familiar store. Erza stopped to look at it, the sign says Mag drug. "Oh this store - I remembered that day, so does Juvia still keeps on giving you the love potions she buys from here?" she said with a giggle. Gray rolled his eyes at her hold her hands and led her to the train station. "Where are we going?" she asked "You'll see when we get there" he said and bought tickets then went aboard the train sat on their seat. Erza was near the window and rested her head on his shoulders. He smiled, rested his head on hers and held her hands "Thank you Erza" he said softly.
"Whoah!!! It's been ages since I went here" she exclaimed as they went into the resort. "Let's go and play some cards first then we'll visit the amusement park" Gray said and winked "Alright, let's go and test our luck" she smiled at the guy. Gray remembered the day that Cana said was his lucky day. After a few rounds they won and Erza threw herself into him with a hug "We really make a good team" Gray hugged her back "That was fun, Cana was right, you are my lucky charm" Erza just looked quizzically. "Let's go and see the rides" he invited her. They roam around the amusement park of course always holding each other's hands and played a few arcade games challenging one another to see who is the best among them, ate few god food and finally decided to ride the giant Ferris wheel as they rested and watch the sunset.
The next day Gray picked Erza up from her dormitory, "What do you wanna do this time" He asked. "Uhhmm, I really wanna go back to Hôsenka Ryokan" she said. "Then Hosenka it is" he confirmed. The Hôsenka Ryokan is a traditional inn located in the town of Hôsenka. It is a small inn located in Japanese architectural style, you have to take a small wooden bridge to access it and its roof is decorated with engravings in oriental style. The hostel is divided into two parts, one for the thermal baths and one for the bedrooms. The baths are thus surrounded by bamboo and rocks. Four statues of monsters stand there and red water comes out of the mouth of one of the monsters filling the thermal bath. The rooms also have a Japanese style, there are futons arranged on the floor, a small coffee table in the center as well as statues of monsters and engravings decorate the room.
"Nothing beats the warm bath after a long day to relax, just like the good old days when we were kids, right Gray?" she stated. Gray is spacing out trying to control his hormones. Erza begins to take her clothes off, removed her shoes placing them neatly on the locker, she sat down to pull her black stockings off as Gray watch her strip off before him, he gulped nervously when he saw how she took the base of her black blouse and removed it. "Turn around you idiot, don't look" he thought as he felt blood rush all over his body, he saw how beautiful the girl is with her black lacy bra paired with matching panties. He closed his eyes and turned around trying to calm himself "Well done Gray you fool, this is not a good idea" he scolded himself. He felt a tap on his shoulders "Are you not going to take your clothes off? you can't bath with your clothes on dummy" She asked. He turned to face her seeing her nicely toned body wrapped in a small towel made his cheeks burning red. He started to remove his clothes but for the first time ever he felt conscious, he had been stripping all the time but this time it felt different.
"Took you long enough" she said signalling him to sit on the small stool "Let me wash your hair and back first just like old times" she said with a warm smile making him turn to redder blush. She began gently pouring water on his head using the wooden dipper "Is the water in the right temperature?" she asked, he nodded and relaxed as he felt her soft hands lathering shampoo on his hair and massaged his scalp tenderly "This feels nice, Thank you Erza" he said. She just smiled back at him "close your eyes" she ordered as she rinsed his hair. Gray felt a little shiver as she slowly washed his back, gently stroking his bare back "You sure changed a lot since we were kids, your shoulders are much broader now" she said in awe as she graze his shoulders. He felt his body stirring with desire, mind clouded by hungriness to devour it's prey with each touch of her hands "You've changed too" he stuttered.
"Alright you're all set" let's go and soak in the water" she instructed "I want to wash you too" Gray protested, Erza gently brushed his shoulders later before we go. They sighed in unison as they soaked in the relaxing hot water. They talked about almost everything, the missions they had together laughing at their errors to the time Erza was in Konoha and other stuff. "You know, we've been best friends since what, we were kids but this is the only time that I got the chance to talk to you this way" Erza commented "Yeah, and we were extremely close, I wonder what made us so distant" Gray said with sadness in his eyes. Erza nudged at him "Hey hey I'm not that far, see I'm here right now with you. I will always be your best friend even when I die I will haunt you" she said with a wild giggle "No fair" he said blushing at her cuteness."I wish we can stay like this forever" he thought smiling back at her.
"It's getting late, it's time to go"
"Let me wash your hair and back this time"
"Oh, I almost forgot, You don't have to"
"Come here and sit down"
He said in a forceful voice, She frowned but followed his demand, something about his tone made her want to obey his every whim. Gray stood behind her and untied her hair. He was amazed on how her hair flowed down her shoulders, scarlet strands framing her awesome body. He keeled down and placed his arms around her waist while resting his chin on her shoulders. He smirked as he felt her stiffen and he chuckle when he saw that she was grasping the knot that tied the towel on top of her chest.
"Your hair is so beautiful"
"Thanks"
Gray started lathering a huge amount of shampoo on her hair gentle and light. Erza closed her eyes feeling sleepy as the massage on her scalp made her relax. Gray smirked and gently tugged on the towel causing it to fall down. Erza panicked and covered herself with her arms, the towel still covers her lower body. He had seen him naked before but this atmosphere made her a little too conscious.
"He-hey, what are you doing?"
"Washing your back"
He said at the growling Erza and began to spread soap on her bare back. So soft and smooth he thought.His hands slowly moved around her back, covering each part of her exposed flesh with foam, stroking the length of her spine and massaging her back. Gray was lost in his lustful trance, thankfully he came to his senses when he finally realized how painfully hard he was and so close to sliding his hands to her forbidden parts. "Shit!!!" he shouted in his thoughts then he suddenly stood up went stayed far away from her "I'll meet you in the room" he stammered as he quickly fled out leaving a blushing Erza.
"What's wrong with you, why did you suddenly leave? are you okay?" she asked with concern as she walks towards him siting beside him legs and arms crossed "Why? It's because you're so damn irresistible and you're making it difficult for me" he screamed inwardly. He felt irritated and mad because he feels hope."Why are you so worked up all of a sudden? Is something the matter?" she tried to break his awkward silence.
"Remember the day that you first joined the guild? For the first time of Cana's fortune reading she said I will be lucky. It all started when I saw you crying alone n the riverbank. Remember what I told you, my promise that I will never let you cry alone. That is why you need to be with me, with Fairy Tail so you wouldn't have to cry again" he said leaning forward and kissed her. Her eyes grew big in surprise, but when he broke that kiss she felt like bursting into tears so sorry for him that she can't return his feelings. "Gray" she whispered and he kissed her again for some odd reason she kissed him back and shared a deep passionate hot kiss. She gently pushed him to break the kiss and rested on his chest. They remained quiet until sleep took over them. Gray understood and accepted that she can't be his not now, maybe in another lifetime.
