Chapter 21: A smoking Ship, Frog and a..cat?
Its been 3 days since they left the island. Going merry was sailing the ship on to the next island. Everyone onboard was busy on their own terms. Nami was checking charts and relaxing on a sunny chair. Zoro was snoring in the corner. Robin was reading on the balcony of top cabin. Luffy, Usopp and chopper were goofing around.
Toshiro was standing on the other corner of the ship and looking at the empty space and said, "How much time do you have?"
"Not much." A voice responded.
"Do you want me to tell them?" Toshiro asked.
"No. They will know when the time comes. I am happy that I was able to go on a adventure with them. Hehe." The voice responded as it faded away.
The voice was none other than spirit of going merry. As Toshiro was adept in reiatsu he was able to see and interact with the spirits that are willing to communicate with him.
Toshiro stood there for some time, thinking of something.
Mean while Sanji came out of the Kitchen with a plate while shouting excitedly with heart shaped eyes, "Na~~~mi Swa~~n!! This is the potato Paille my newest invention would you like to try some?"
Nami took the plate and ate, "mm...delicious."
Seeing that Sanji went out of the kitchen, Luffy snuck in and doused himself in white flour and came out of the kitchen while shouting, "Usopp!! Chopper!! Ta-da--!!! THE FROZEN ME!!"
Usopp, Chopper and Luffy were rolling on the foloor while laughing at this act. Nami who was watching all this couldn't hep but say, "Humph! You almost died from that, how can you joke about it!?"
"Shishishi..Did it look real? Eh? Nami! What are you eating?" Luffy said while getting distracted with the food in Nami's hand.
"Its Sanji's New dish. Its seems to be called as Potato Paille. Its delicious." Nami said while enjoying the food.
"Hey Sanji. I am hungry too. I want Potato pale." Luffy shouted at Sanji.
On the other hand Sanji was bickering with Zoro, "Is sleeping all you do, you cactus head?"
"I sleep whenever and wherever I want. Are you picking a fight with me, dart board?" Zoro said as be butted heads with Sanji.
"I would like your new dish as well." Toshiro said as he walked by and sat across Robin.
"We don't feed free loaders."Sanji refused.
"I can pay. How about 5000 Berry for a meal sound?" Toshiro said as he shifted his eyes to Nami.
Nami's eyes quickly sparkled, "Sanji, we don't keep our guests hungry. Prpare a dish for him too."
After a while everyone was having the new dish. Luffy, Usopp and chopper were sitting on the ledge and discussing seriously, "Shishishi! Its delicious. I know potato but what is paille?"
"It is a meat from the giant monster called paille. I hunted it this morning. It's body was 100 meters long." Usopp responded nonchalantly.
"100 meters!? That's amazing Usopp." Chopper responded naively with amazement in his eyes.
Toshiro who was watching all this was distracted by something in the sea. It was a frog that was swimming free style.
"Oh! Its Yokojuna. Its been a while since i last saw him." Toshiro said.
"You know that frog?" Zoro asked.
"Yeah! its been a while since i last saw him. when granny kokoro brought him along to water 7. Oh! and granny kokoro is Station mastr of Shift station which is nearby water 7." Toshiro responded.
"So, you are native of water 7?" Sanji asked.
"Yeah! Actually it is my first time that i came out of the island. I am a ship builder there. My old man along with his team are the best ones they are when it comes to ship building." Toshiro said.
While they were talking Luffy and usopp managed to change their route and started following the frog. Suddenly the frog stopped swimming and stood on the sea. From far ahead someing was coming towards the frog at fast speed.
Toshiro saw this and quickly disappeared from where he stood and appeared behind the frog and kicked him, which sent him leaping. The strawhats followed Toshiro who landed on the platform with a small light house on it.
"Ahh~~!! It terrible!! Granny! Granny! Pirates!!" A child voice was heard.
"What really?" A voice came from inside the station.
An old woman, a child and a rabbit came out of the station cabin. Toshiro went forward and greeted, "Hey, Granny Kokoro. How are you? Its been a while!"
"Oh, its you, you little brat. What are you doing here? did your father allow you to go out?" Kokoro quickly for got why she came out and started chatting with Toshiro.
Toshiro introduced straw hats to Kokoro and Chiminy. They talked about the Sea train and the frog for a while.
"So, you are going to water 7 to get you ship fixed? I think this little brat can help you with that." Kokoro said as she pointed to Toshiro.
"Just to be sure, I will also give my letter of recommendation to you. You can show it to the mayor of water 7" Kokoro said as she handed over a paper to Nami.
They set sail to water 7 after leaving the station.
"So you are also a ship builder? Join my crew!!" Luffy said to Toshiro.
"Haha!! I have my own plans as of now. But thank you for the invite." Toshiro rejected.
There was a 'Phew' that escaped from the mouths of rest of the crew. Toshiro didn't mind them. After about 4 hours they finally reached Water 7.
"Wow~~ Thats so cool!! A Giant fountain!" Luffy exclaimed.
"Man That looks like a metropolis, no wonder this place is famous. " Usopp Said.
"Look it says blue station over there. but where are the docks?" Nami said.
"Pirates cannot go through the front route you have to go around. There will be a small peninsula at the back you can dock your ship there." Toshiro said as he continued, "Ok guys!! thanks for your ride. Go to dock 1 that's where i work as a ship builder."
He shunpo'ed from the ship and disappeared.
Just as he landed on water 7, there was a notification from Edith.
