Mithuna walked towards Karthik to ask the reason why Ammu didn't come to college. But she was thinking in her mind why Karthik was speaking with Aditya as they fought in the club the previous night. She was hesitant to speak in front of Aditya.
" Okay Karthik, bye" Aditya left the place with a sad face.
" Why didn't Ammu come to the college?" Mithuna asked Karthik.
Karthik narrated to her what happened after they both left the club.
" How is she now?" Mithuna asked him anxiously.
" I hope she was still sleeping. Dhruv was taking care of her. So she will be fine" Karthik informed her.
" Thank god…" she exhaled her breath.
After listening to Karthik's words, she wanted to thank Aditya but she feared that he wouldn't talk to her after what happened in the club.
She was in an oscillation state whether to talk with him or not. Then she went to the classroom to attend her classes. But in her mind, her thoughts were about Adithya. She felt bad to see him injured. So finally, she decided to thank him to save her best friend. At the end of the class in the evening, she wanted to meet him. She gathered some courage to talk with him and walked towards the playground.
After a ten minutes walk, she reached the playground and stood at the gallery of the playground. She was waiting for him for thirty minutes but he was busy talking with his friends. He didn't even look in her direction. She felt hurt by his ignorance and started walking away from that place.
" Hi, bookworm. I think you came here by mistake for this place. Are you here for anyone?" One of the senior guys blocked her way.
" No," she replied with fear.
The four seniors circled her and " Will you accompany me tonight us….for club?" They questioned.
" No. Please let me go…." She pleaded with a cracked voice.
" Stay with us. Let us have fun with you for some more work…" they laughed wickedly.
Tears were rolling down from Midhuna's eyes. One of the seniors placed his hand on her shoulder and tried to pull her closer to him. She was wriggling to get out from their grip.
" We don't know that you are such a cry baby " they teased her.
" Mithu…."
She heard someone calling her and looked at that person while crying.
" Leave her...." Aditya roared.
The senior guy removed his hand and looked at Aditya. Instantly they stepped back from her.
" Is she your chick?" One of the guys asked him.
" Mind your language about her. Just leave this place" Aditya ordered them.
" She is my love. Let loose from this place." Saying he looked at them ferociously.
They left her without uttering any word.
" Are you okay, Mithu? Are you hurt ?" Aditya asked with concern.
Still, she was crying with hiccups.
" Mithu….stop crying. I am here with you. They don't hurt you again. Please…." He requested her.
On seeing her condition, he stepped forward and wiped her tears with his fingers. He took her hand into his and walked towards the wooden bench. He made her sit on the bench. He cleaned her face with his handkerchief.
" You are looking like a faded flower while crying. I want to see your face glowing like a fresh flower. You look more beautiful when you smile. " he said cupping her face.
For a few seconds, she lost herself looking into his eyes, and her heart melted with his words. She felt so protected with his presence.
" Why did you come to this place? Don't you know it's not safe for a junior to come alone when seniors used to play here?" Adithya asked her.
" I came here for you…" she said in a low tone.
" For me!!! " He asked with surprise.
" Really…" he asked excitedly.
" To thank you for helping my friend, Amrutha the previous night in the club," she said.
" Can I ask you one question?" He asked hesitantly.
" Yes…" she answered.
" Do you love Karthik?" He questioned her.
She looked at him seriously and controlled her anger.
" He is like my brother. Don't you have any other topic than love in your dictionary?" She asked rudely.
He smiled at her words and said, " Okay, I have another topic to talk about with you. Shall I talk with you?" He said.
" What?" She asked with irritation.
" Will you marry me?" He asked looking into her eyes.
" Don't you have any other goals in your life?" She yelled.
" If you have goals or not
But I have goals in my life. I want to study well and get a good job. I want to take care of my parents. Don't irritate me with the topic of love and marriage. I have no place for it in my life. Don't waste your precious time. " she stood up from the wooden bench.
" Don't you marry anyone in your life?" He asked by holding her hand.
" I will marry the person whom my parents select for me and importantly I don't marry the person from the rich family " she forcefully took away her hand from his grip.
" Once again, thanks for saving my friend, Amrutha. Don't expect anything from me. I never love you. "she said with a serious face
" But I love you...Mithu, till my last breath" He retorted.
" Go to hell...Adithya. " she started walking away from him.
" Now, I am sure that you come to me running to express your love one day as you come today to meet me. I will pray to God to come that day very soon." He said with a wide smile.
Midhuna looked at him seriously and took long strides towards the bus stop to catch the bus whereas Aditya ran after him.
" Mithu...please give me one chance to prove my love. I really love you..." he pleaded.
" It was my mistake to come to meet you. " She said angrily.
" oh my god! You look more beautiful when you are angry…" he said.
All the people around were watching them very interestingly.
" I think...I should ask Karthik to break your legs so that you cannot follow me" she shouted.
" You can ask him to break my legs but you cannot erase my love in my heart for you…." He whispered in her ears.
Her eyes widened with his words.
