Chapter 105: Chapter 104: New formula.

Qin Qianyu left and chartered a plane to the island of Cebu.

This was were the Monarch Dendrobium was being kept. Two and a half hours later she landed and made a quick dash to the area closest to where the plant was being kept.

She was wandering how she would infiltrate the government building where the flower was being kept. What Qin Qianyu wanted to do was to sneak in and cause a scene where all of the staff and other personnel had to evacuate the building, thus giving her the time she needed to make the extraction.

She didn't think about the consequences, she was target oriented, and that target was the flower.

She didn't have time to worry about anything, because she needed to suppress the radiation in Wú Haodong or he may not make it past the next two days.

From a hidden spot she monitored the building. Soon she saw a worker coming out from a side door.

What she realised was, that this door, was a security nightmare, for the building. To her, it was the opportunity she was looking for.

Whenever a worker came out of that door, they needed to prop the door open so it wouldn't close on them as it had no outside keyhole, fob or latch, not even a door handle.

It opened one way, and that was from the inside.

When the worker propped the door open and walked away, Qin Qianyu made her move and flashed through the door and soon made it inside.

She looked around in astonishment, the door actually led to the back of the bio vault that the plant was being kept in. Qin Qianyu really couldn't believe her own luck.

"About time something started going right and without any problems."

Qin Qianyu says to herself. The building itself wasn't as guarded tightly as she had thought it would be.

To the side, she saw a bunch of monitors. They were all displaying the Monarch Dendrobium while it sat in the bio safe.

She smirked and flashed back to the door and dropped the bar that was used to prop the door open.

She then went to the monitoring station and disabled the cameras. She then scrubbed through the recorded footage and found when the scientists and other workers came in and soon found the passcode to open the safe.

After doing as much, she entered the safe as quickly as she could and did what she needed to do to extract what she needed from the flower.

She took enough and left enough to not kill the

Monarch Dendrobium off. She also "taxed" a small section of the flower as she wanted to try and germinate it herself and regrow it in her own lab and ultimately, garden.

Qin Qianyu then looked around the lab and saw other herbs and flowers. Not wanting to waste such an opportunity, Qin Qianyu helped herself to a few more "free samples" while she could.

After she was done, she returned to where the monitors were and tipped a glass of water over the system. This caused the computer to spark and smoke, soon the fire alarm sounded off.

While all of this was happening, Qin Qianyu made a mad dash out the back door that she had previously entered,m from, then using her shadowless steps to flash away and headed back to the airport to catch the same plane back to Laos.

The entire return trip, stalking the target, initiating her heist took no more than 8 hours in total. As soon as she landed she gave Zhang Mi a call.

"Good afternoon, how'd the retesting go?"

"It was as you said. Even the doctors had no way of describing Yan Xian's current condition. Miss, I really have no words to thank you."

"Mhm, it's fine. The favour I've asked for is plenty of thanks. Speaking of which . . "

"Ah, yes. My friend just left. He's given a key card that'll grant you access to the offsite lab."

"That's great. I'll be there shortly to pick it up."

Qin Qianyu headed straight to the hospital and soon found Zhang Mi.

When Qin Qianyu entered into the room, Xiao Yan could final have a good look at the woman that had not only saved her life, she had also given her husband a job.

Or so she thought. Qin Qianyu wore a face mask hiding most of her facial features and her hood was pulled far to forwards for Yan Xiao and Zhang Mi to identify her at all.

The couple understood that the hooded woman must have a reason for doing so.

"Miss, my husband told me how, that I'm only able to survive because of your good grace. Please accept my most sincerest of thanks."

Yan Xiao says as she got out of bed. Qin Qianyu knew what the woman was about to do.

Qin Qianyu stopped her and helped the sick woman back into bed.

"Miss Yan, there's no need to do this. Besides, your husband has already thanked me and he has also repaid the favour twice over."

"Still, how can I still call myself human if I couldn't even offer my thanks in return? What would my son thing of me if I did such a thing?"

"Mhm, that's true."

Zhang Mi added. Qin Qianyu just humphed in a joking manner and accepted the woman's polite bow as she sat up in her bed.

Yan Xiao then clasped Qin Qianyu's hands tightly as she thanked her over and over.

"Miss, we truly are thankful for all that you've done. We certainly must have done something great in our past lives in order to receive such a reprieve in a timely manner."

Yan Xiao stated with conviction. Her husband smiled and nodded in agreement to his wife's words.

He looked to his wife lovingly then turned to Qin Qianyu then added to the conversation,

"I was already at my wits end when you walked into our room. At first I thought you may have entered the wrong room by mistake, but now, I believe it must have been the work of the gods and that they had sent you to us."

"It could have been the Asura too,"

Qin Qianyu quipped. Although she still believed that what she had experienced in the garden room inside the Asura temple was but a dream based on the events that had played out prior to the time she was knocked unconscious, in her subconscious, all things Asura were there to stay.

"As well as thanking you, I also really need to apologise to you Miss."

Yan Xiao says with a hint of guilt and shame in her voice. Qin Qianyu looked to the downcast woman questioningly,

"Oh? . . Is there really such a need?"

"Mhm, there is. You see, I thought you were here to swindle us. I didn't know what you could possibly want from us. We truly have nothing. When my husband said he already signed the contract with you I thought it was all over. He told me to have a little trust, then he showed me the signing bonus as well as the contract with the stipulation about the Song family and it made me feel like you were using us to get back at the Song's."

" . . . "

"However, after thinking about it some more, I realised that if you are capable of all this then you wouldn't need us to do such a thing."

Qin Qianyu understood this. It's hard not to be suspicious when stuck in a desperate situation like what they were in.

Qin Qianyu smiled from behind her mask and replied,

"Miss Yan, there's no need to apologise. I'd be questioning all of this myself if I were ever in your shoes and the roles were reversed."

The couple spoke with Qin Qianyu some more. The retesting worked and with the accounts settled treatments can start immediately. The doctor will keep her in for observations over the week and if she's fine, they'll be back in the capital in no time.

Qin Qianyu was happy for them. Not only that, she'll now feel better with Zhang Mi on board to help Li Yuan and his factory, ACU out.

As they spoke Qin Qianyu also learnt that Yan Xiao was once in the entertainment industry. She had a small studio helping out emerging musicians produce their music then she started becoming ill. Then she soon found out that she would have to sell her studio to pay off the cancellation fees as the illness took its toll and she wasn't able to complete any of her contractual obligations.

"Hm? . . Maybe I can set up a department for her over at Véridique? . . . Just her character alone is upright and honest, I think she'll make a fine edition to the team."

Qin Qianyu says to herself and decided that she'll keep that thought in mind and would bring it up to Yan Xiao once she was out of the hospital and on the smooth wide road towards full recovery.

"Well, before anything else, Miss this is for you. The professor says that only he uses this lab so whatever you need to do, you won't be disturbed."

Zhang Mi handed over the card to Qin Qianyu, along with a printout of the labs location, and other miscellaneous information about security and such.

"I wasn't lying when I said your a lifesaver. This lab is indeed what I'm looking for at this point and will save me some time as I don't have much of it and couldn't wait till I returned to the mainland."

"The medicine I need to research and make has to be done over the next few days while I'm here, otherwise . . "

Qin Qianyu didn't finish her sentence, but, the couple seemed to understand that the final outcome if she fails didn't look good and if she doesn't succeed, they could only imagine.

Qin Qianyu thanked the pair and left soon after that, heading back to her hotel room first to collect a few things and also to check up on Grandpa Wú.

Qin Qianyu spent a couple of hours monitoring Grandpa Wú before she quickly showered and changed into some fresh clothes.

She went into the city and picked up a few things. She visited a few places before finally heading to the lab.

Qin Qianyu walked in and found the lab to be quite impressive. It had all the equipment she need to research her suppression medication for Grandpa Wú.

Qin Qianyu pulled out a laptop she had just purchased and set it up for her to document the process as well as make the necessary calculations and computational simulations needed.

As the computer was doing its thing, she stowed the materials she had on hand in cold storage for later use and started to warm up the machines she'll need later on.

She looked around the lab and soon came to a covered whiteboard. When Qin Qianyu pulled back its cover she found an interesting formula scribed upon it.

She took a couple of snap shot on her phone of both sides before erasing the written text off of it and rolled it over to her working area.

Next she pulled out a note pad and started jotting down several ideas she already came up with before running an analysis on the strands she had taken from the Monarch Dendrobium.

While it was doing that, she got on her new computer and started inputting the radiation data she had of Grandpa Wú, the compound data of the the materials she had on hand and had it run several simulations.

For four hours straight Qin Qianyu went from notepad to computer to whiteboard the ver and over in that sequence.

Once the analysis of the Monarch Dendrobium was done, Qin Qianyu excitedly rushed to the machine to collect its data. Not long after that, all of the other samples she had also acquired from the government lab Qin Qianyu had "shopped" at in Cebu started producing its analytical data.

Soon, Qin Qianyu's heart started growing extremely heavy.

With the several scrap pieces of papers she had on hand, she soon weeded out the compounds not required for the composition.

She entered the new data into the simulation and couldn't believe what she saw.

She had miscalculated somewhere.

Qin Qianyu started again, and again the same result came up. It was an utter failure.

She looked them all over, she checked and double checked and noticed that none of it would work,

"How couldn't it workout? This . . This can't be happening! . . Was I just too arrogant and over confident? . . Fuuuuck!"

She lashed out in frustration. The work she just put in to extract that essential essences from the Monarch Dendrobium flower, the setup here, all the analytical data collected had been all for nought.

She gave up for the night, now that she was sure that the idea she had thought up was a complete bust, there was nothing more she could do.

Qin Qianyu headed back to the hotel deflated and defeated. As she walked up the stairway to her room, Qin Qianyu failed to notice some unsettling eyes following her every movement.

As she disappeared into her room, those people that had eyed her left the lobby and disappeared out of sight also.

In the room, Qin Qianyu showered and tried to clear her head while she washed, but, her own mind wouldn't let her. Her mind was running compound formula foundations in her head nonstop.

Qin Qianyu came out in a robe and sat on the sofa. She sat there absentmindedly drying her hair with the towel as she tried her hardest to think of another way to suppress the radiation in Grandpa Wú.

Soon, she dozed off while scrunched up on the small sofa.

In the morning, her body clock woke her up as usual and she started her breathing exercise.

She sighed as she finished. Her mind was clear and she was ready to focus on the task ahead.

She washed up and changed into clothes. She then checked on Grandpa Wú.

"I'm sure I'll find another way? . . Please don't give up just yet. You have to hang in there as long as you can. Okay!"

After saying as much, she started massaging his limbs. After an hour of treatment, she went down stairs to the lobby for breakfast.

After her meal, went to her room again and collected a few things before she left for a butchers before heading to the forest Bai Saan was hanging out at.

"Saan! . . Breakfast time."

Qin Qianyu called out. A short moment later a blur flashed by and stopped in front of her.

"Ohoho! . . You took my words to heart and have been doing some self learning I see!"

Bai Saan lifted a paw then pounced around Qin Qianyu happily.

She gave him a cuddle and praised him plenty.

"Keep it up big guy, and soon you'll be able to come out with me on missions too."

Bai Saan gave a throaty growl then raised both paws excitedly. Qin Qianyu chucked lightly and gave him a big cuddle.

As she did, her eyes were focused on a patch of white fur. The more she focused on Bai Saan's fur, the more she became lost in her own thoughts.

Soon, an epiphany hit her and she hugged Bai Saan tighter. A new formula came to mind, she didn't know where it came from but just the thought of it alone was enough to excite her.

She left a few words for Bai Saan and then fed him before she made tracks back to the hotel before she left for professors lab.
