When Geoffrey alighted his car in front of their house on Friday, the first thing he noticed was that Serena was not at the front door to welcome him. At first, he felt worried. Why was she not there? Could something had happened to her? But then, he realized the irrationality of his thoughts. Perhaps she only did not feel like doing that today. He could not understand why, but that thought made him feel dismayed.

He shook his head with his selfishness. His relationship with Serena has already gone beyond what he has ever hoped for. She was already giving him the love he has been yearning for and more.
