Chapter 64: Heading to the Banquet Part 5 Unusual Situations
The sound of howling winds could be heard. A humanoid man appeared with white skin and golden eyes. Instead of legs visible, a tornado was in its place. This was a part of the Snow Wind Spiritual God. In a single blink, two axes were equipped.
Shen Yue felt his understanding of Laws speed up. Running Astral Sense over the method used to bring the creature out and the figure itself filled in small pieces. Contemplating slowed his actions down but the situation was not even serious anymore.
"I was not the only one with a damaged core that survived." Yu Yan muttered. Her gaze was pulled towards seeing a figure move pass her in a flash. She looked oddly at the man operating the Law of Earth & Lightning simultaneously. The conflict of the energies brought about new understanding, making the understanding of Laws even stronger. "The Tiny World is full of surprises."
"Assist your people, I will deal with this." Shen Yue said simply. Seeing Ye Xiu not comply, he forced the issue. "I do not need you and the broken thing in my way!"
*Bzzzzzt!* A Lightning Field spread outward from him. With a flick of the wrist, it filled with spirit energy, a wall of earth rose up separating those of the various families that watched.
The Shadow Demon had a net of lightning run along its body. Small damage really. Its lizard-like mouth opened up wide with four of its arms raised up in defiance. Tendrils of shadow lashed out to do damage but the Lightning Field spread enough to create a barrier.
Each lash was causing damage to the Shadow Demon. But it all transferred to the elders operating it. It was defeating itself before Shen Yue even did anything.
"Focus fools!" One of the Elders shouted. The tendrils stopped attacking wildly. Twining around and turned into a large tentacle drill. "We got him now!" Lashing out, the strike would powerful enough to kill a Legend Realm cultivator outright.
The impact did nothing. Not even a sound. Grabbing hold, Shen Yue channeled 3/10 of his spiritual force through it. Arcs of Lightning travelled down the twisted tendrils burning away up until hitting the chest of the Shadow Demon.
"AAARRGGGHHH!" The elders screamed in agony. Bodies highlighted like an x-ray. They collapsed to the ground unmoving. The Shadow Demon was still there, now out of control. It took in their spirit energy unchecked.
"You have to stop it before it kills them!" Ye Xiu shouted. He moved the Snow Wind God to attack but the Lightning Barrier prevented him from getting by. "Does he really not need help?"
"I wonder how it would feel actually?" Shen Yue was asking himself mostly. Heading straight into its maw by turning into a lightning bolt, he took control of the creature by sending his spirit energy to every corner of it. "Does it count as a Demon Spirit? This is a nice little bonus."
Feeding an amount equivalent to a basic Legend Realm Cultivator, he couldn't help trying.
Duan Jian moved over to the elders checking them over. They were barely alive. Securing them was easy as the members of the Dark Moon Family moved about killing the Sacred Family and Dark Guild people who acted.
*Schup!* Forcing his energy to wrap it up completely, the Shadow Demon started to shrink. But the Shadow Demon was also eating his spirit energy getting stronger still. But the more it ate, the more control he had over it.
Circulating Astral Sense specifically the Beast Manual inside it, the Shadow Demon starting gaining intelligence. Not a lot but more than a mindless creature. Condensed into a "Demon Spirit," he just didn't know what it was really.
Dropping it into the Internal Space, Shen Yue floated in the air thoughtfully. If it acted up, the Flame Vortex Core, Flame Vortex Star Dragon, or any other weapon could take it down. But it remained docile near the swirling Laws.
Looking at his boss, Duan Jian was interested in what he had planned. But not overly so since they were originally there for show.
'I wonder how the robbery is going?' Duan Jian looked at the fighting then towards the Sacred Family Compound in the distance. No fires or smoke so must have gone ok. "Huh?" A weird distortion took place as something was coming.
*Brrpp!* A black sphere of intense spiritual energy appeared.
"I am Gui Sha, from the Dark Guild!" The young man announced. His black shadow wings flapping gently. "Dark Guild's Law Enforcement Elder."
Gui Sha looked around seeing the Snow Wind Spiritual God but not the Elders sent to deal with the problem. The Sacred Family members were getting arrested and the whole plan had fallen apart.
*Crumble!* The raised earth started to recede. The Lightning Field was absorbed into circulating around like an atom around Shen Yue. It was unusual, to say the least how it reacted with the Metal Seed in his chest.
"The master will not like this at all." Gui Sha saw Ye Ziyun and Ye Zong. "Your trump card is quite powerful. Our master is currently cultivating, hence why I am here and my partner."
"Why don't you just get lost?!" Ye Ziyun demanded. Her bravery inspiring the families present. Aware that Nie Li was activating the Array from the glowing lights, she sought to buy some more time. 'This partner of his must be busy, or not here yet. So far everything is going ok.'
"Get lost.." Gui Sha had his hands on his hips smiling. He was enjoying this more than he should. "Your Snow-Wind Family should just relax and join us." The force's eyes went wide at the blatant offer. "We have heard about the change and increase of alchemy in Glory City."
Pensive looks were on quite a few faces. Shen Yue locked on to Long Sha. His Astral Sense was fed Lightning with a good amount of spirit energy.
Ye Zong did not like the look cast his daughter's way. Even with all her new strength and attitude the last few months, the changes in Glory City would be dangerous for them if a strong enemy appeared.
Spiritual energy started to push hard in his body. Growth in his Soul Realm from resources purchased at the Alchemy Association pushed his cultivation. Ye Ziyun's instance that he get stronger faster.
"Go!" A Lightning Lance was chucked out like a harpoon. It sailed through the air directly at its target. Pulling back like he was a fish on the line, a young man landed twitching erratically. "I wonder how long I can keep you?"
"Long Sha should be stronger than this, right?" Duan Jian was puzzled. "As the second of the Dark Guild, his power alone should be enough to kill most in Glory City easy. Without even the use of artifacts."
"The Demon Lord uses all sorts of means to instill loyalty in his people. Some are slaves, some are not. I just find it odd as well.." Shen Yue couldn't sense any real power in Long Sha. "..his laws are less than I thought. Even though he.." Pointing at Gui Sha in the air fighting. "..has the Devil's Physique it won't be enough. I am interested in Spirit Constellation Technique. Hand it over, and I won't kill you brutally."
"Never!" Long Sha's black hair started to stand up a little. His eyes turning into that of a dragon. "Ugghh!" Exerting his Dragon Martial Arts, Dragon Suppression stopped anything dangerous from happening. 'Who are these bastards!?'
The Spiritual Constellation Technique was an abhorrent technique but it still had so much to offer in understanding with souls.
"It is more than a chance than you all deserve really!" Gui Sha was quite full of himself. Ye Xiu had the Spiritual Snow Wind God attack viciously. "Stop playing around!" More members of the Dark Guild were cut down.
*Crack!* Shen Yue kicked the down man in the ribs. Pressing down, studying him like a bug. He was trying to determine the overall change in spiritual energy mixed with law. Healing and getting injured rapidly.
"Dammit, Long Sha!" Gui Sha watched as his ally was getting crushed to death. "You bastard, let him go!"
*Fwoosh!* A figure shot towards Gui Sha abruptly. It was Ye Zong who stepped into the Legend Realm just a few seconds ago. Under his feet were swirls of snow and wind. Using the technique called Snow-Wind Traceless.
Long Sha was about to forcefully break free from the hold but it vanished. The lightning actually went into his body as a method to trace him in the future. Just in case he escaped somehow.
Ye Zong started fighting with Gui Sha. The battle was the hardest one the man ever had. Gui Sha had better cultivation methods and lots of artifacts on his person.
Ye Xiu operating the Snow WInd Spiritual God giving help when possible.
They exchanged blow after blow but it was evident Ye Zong was outmatched after a while.
"The agreement Ye Ziyun." Shen Yue said to her. He walked over during as most-watched the scuffle. The bodies were picked up by Duan Jian and company. Shen Xiu watching over survivors of the Sacred Family who were worried they would be killed despite getting arrested. "I get this and I wipe them both out here and now."
"I.." Ye Ziyun hesitated with her father stepping into the Legend Realm, it was somewhat different now. But looking into those eyes filled with powerful lightning bursts, she was afraid to decline. "..a little time is needed."
"Are you going to back out on our agreement?" Shen Yue tilted his head just a little suprised. The sheer balls on the girl during the situation to stall. He was actually impressed. "I suggest you think this over carefully child. Nie Li.. can not protect all of you."
It hit a sore spot in regards to her getting locked down below just recently during the banquet.
"Are you threatening us!" Nie Li's eyes flared golden. Yet he did not receive an acknowledgment from the other. Controlling the Array to use a technique to strike down Gui Sha before it was to late. 'Who in the hell is this guy!? What deal did Ye Ziyun make?'
"What is it going to be?" Shen Yue spoke calmly. The more the Array was used, the more he understood the various Laws. 'Hmm, if I get hit by that thing it will hurt. But I can also gain a lot from it. Decisions.. decisions.'
"Ye Xiu.. give him the Snow Wind Spiritual God fragment." Ye Ziyun said. Her mind was made up seeing how Long Sha was right there. "Do it now!"
The old man hesitated. Only thinking Liang Yu was a Legend Realm the same as Ye Mo and Ye Zong. Just with a few unusual techniques. Even with all the people from the Dark Moon Family around unscathed, it was still a trickery situation.
*Schlick!* A cut to the chest sent Ye Hong back. Fighting without his transformation was pretty stupid.
"Go ahead and do it." Ye Hong came around to the area slightly bloody. He fought a few that tried to sneak away. Ye Xiu stopped the activation and threw the fragment over.
*Dooom!* It was as if Time slowed down in the area. Powerful law energy briefly circulating around Nie Li who looked at the fragment sail through the air.
"No!" Ni Lie attacked ruthlessly. "A stranger can not get ahold of it!" Destroying it using the power from the Thousand Demon Spiritual Array was the best outcome in his opinion. "I won't allow it!"
Several Pillars came down surrounding Shen Yue. He just looked at them a little. Studying the inscriptions inside them. Comparing them to the Star Pillars only slightly in appearance but not power or method.
