Chapter 24: Laying The Cards[First Draft]
Judas just left Soma's Brewery and leveled up. Soma excitedly help him and left after some small talk. From him, he heard the news...
'Freya sure moves fast.'
Not even a day has passed of meeting Ryuu and the guild announced Ryuu Lyon's death and her crimes were acquitted, she will be given a proper burial alongside her familia. In truth, it was probably Freya mobilizing her connections in Tenkai and forcing a verdict.
"Looks like I can't go to the hostess for a while."
If this is Freya's way of trying to appease the ticking time bomb I planted on Ryuu Lyon. Then I could rest assured now.
"Huh! I have to pick up the phase now."
Freya might be trying to pour water on the burning elf that I set fire to, but she would soon realize that I used oil to set her on fire.
With Syr's ability, she could easily pester Ryuu until she caved in. I could only hope she would hold her words. Just by showing myself, I forced Ryuu to return to her crazy self-destructive blind rage. I guess I ruined Freya's mending on her. I could already feel the Goddess of Love Wrath bearing down on me. By that I mean the entire Freya is looking for me, specifically [Black Emperor].
If that's all they can do, it means that Ryuu didn't say much more than I thought. Time is still on my side. All I have to do is prepare for the designated meeting. If Freya won't play my game. I'll force her.

Freya is beyond angry. All her hard work on Ryuu was ruined by an unknown party. The worst is that there's still no news about this [Black Emperor], how dare he come and go as he pleases.
How infuriating. She remembered a similar certain man who also did as he pleased her. No doubt that the two are connected. This man dares to play cat and mouse with her! Tsk!
Freya was sitting quietly on her chair. Today is Denatus, the gods are discussing issues in Tenkai. But Freya's attention lies elsewhere.
Soon the discussion moved to titles given to new third-class adventurers. A few embarrassing names were given here and there as a heated battle of wits go on.
"You seemed troubled Freya?"
Suddenly a god came near her. It was Soma. Freya looked at him and smiled.
"Acting worried now? I heard about the changes in your familia Soma. I guess it changed you too. Usually, you wouldn't even come to denatures and devote your entire time to your wine."
"hah! You should know the answer yourself Freya, we gods don't change."
Soma answered lightly, although he wouldn't admit it, but Freya can see his new youthful vigor.
"So what got you to go here today?"
Freya asked nonchalantly, in truth she wasn't interested.
"Hmmm. My child recently leveled up. Maybe you haven't heard of him, but from now on you will. How about you? You seemed troubled?"
"Nothing, a pest just got into my garden and ruined a beautiful flower."
Soma then left. and said.
"Sounds like big trouble coming from you."
Freya raised her eyebrow. She was slightly interested, did Soma only come to brag about her? An interesting child I haven't heard of before? As if a low-class familia can interest her.
"Oh, this is Soma's kid? Did you get a new kid Soma? Why haven't we heard before."
"Yes. A new kid, isn't he interesting?"
"Ohoho, he looks interesting, Lupin Hood? Which familia did he come from before he joined yours?"
"He didn't have one... Right, I know it's unbelievable but he only got his Falna two months ago!"
Suddenly all the gods shut their mouths and looked intently at Soma, Loki who was present opened her mouth.
"You shouldn't joke about this Soma... You know it's an important matter."
"I'm serious."
All the gods become quiet, look at each other one by one, and then...
"woaaghhhghh!?"""""""
"Damn Soma? Where did you find this kid!? Aren't you too busy with your wine to be digging gems!?"
"Amazing Record Breaker!? Amazing Record Breaker!?"
All the gods become enthusiastic and start bombarding Soma with questions.
Soma began answering them.
"Haha! In truth, I didn't find him, he came to me."
"If that's that's the case, It can't be helped."
"Right!? A golden goose came right at Lord Soma's door!"
A couple of gods argued. Freya had a look of shock on her face. Two months!? Only two months!? Even the Sword Princess took a year to level up!
"How did he level up so fast!? Tell us already!?"
Loki eagerly shouted. What kind of adventure did this child do to become this strong so fast?
"According to him, he fought and killed three Infant Dragon
all at once alone."
"What!?""""
Even Freya was shocked! Three Infant Dragon all at once while being level 1? Freya cannot hold her curiosity asked.
"What is he good at?"
"He's good at ritualistic magic and divination. Weapons and gear? He seemed to have a preference for lighter equipment like daggers and rapiers. He asks me not to tell more than that."
"Ritualistic magic and divination? Odd expertise."
Ritualistic magic and divination? Knowing magic is already amazing but knowing an obscure magic like divination? He sounds capable. Freya crossed her legs and asked more questions.
"What's his personality like?"
The gods nodded at the question, surely such a child will be heroic and brave to face three infant dragons at once.
"Ahh, that's the problem, he isn't much different from Zanis... If my child Zanis was more competent, maybe..."
"Huh!?"
All the gods were shocked, not much different from Zanis. How is that possible?
"What do you mean?"
The gods asked in confusion.
"Let us keep this to ourselves but he's very cautious, almost as if he's a cat backed into a corner, at the same time very ambitious, like he's running out of time. He also has an unhealthy obsession with freedom like he's trapped in a cage. As you can see, quite a problem child."
"Hoh~ Are you sure we should hear this Soma-sama?"
The gods said laughing heartily. Soma then explained and stared at Freya
"As I said, he's very ambitious, I don't think he will stick around my familia for long."
The gods stop their movement and gulped, did they just hear that right? Soma wants them to pouch his kid when the time comes.

Freya's eyes were glittering, such a devious interesting child exists? Maybe she needs to look more into this kid, it could be more than she asked for.
"Tell me more about him."
"Well, he likes to come and go as he pleas-.!?"
"Come and go as he pleases!?"
Freya stood up and shouted in anger, like a primal rage, it returned to her.
"F-Freya-sama...?"
"Excuse me, I was just a bit excited... Hahaha..." Freya laugh loudly
An unexpected all of a sudden clue!? Looks like I found you, [Black Emperor], or perhaps a message from you? What could it mean, Freya silently smiled.
"This has dragged for too long, why don't we give him a title already, any suggestion Soma?"
Freya's eyes began to turn into gleeful light. Like receiving an unexpected gift. I'll give him a title alright. Freya thought.
"Oh. He said, as long it's related to time it should be fine?"
The gods then began giving propositions.
"How about [Fast Forwarder]?"
"No no! Does it need more style? [Time Skipper]."
"Et tu? You need class, like [Quick Clock]"
Soon Soma has begun battling the gods! Trying his best to get Lupin Hood a good title. But Freya wouldn't allow that. He needs to get back at him somehow.
"How about [Worm Of Time]? After all, he likes to crawl into Orario unnoticed by all. Like a worm, wiggling his way in time into the hearts of Orario."
There was a dangerous sound coming from her voice, As everyone quieted down, Soma laugh hysterically.
"Gahahaha!? It must be fate Freya-sama!"
Freya's mood became sour as she couldn't understand what he meant.
"I didn't say it first, because I couldn't understand it. But, he did say he also want it to be related to worms"
"*Clap clap clap*"""""
"As expected of Freya-sama."
"It's decided then."
"No doubt."
Freya closed her eyes. Stood up, and left. As she leaves Loki put a hand in her mouth and giggles. Passing other gods, she could hear them murmuring about her marking Lupin Hood, and how he's her familia now.
"Next!"
When Freya got home, all her rage was poured out, passing people could hear a wailing woman screaming
"How dare he!?"
