Chapter 59: Zamarad

Arsalan walked further away from the camp. He wanted to avoid the woman as much as possible. A part of him was regretting being kind. What was he thinking when he brought a stranger to his most sacred place?

Fortunately, most of the soldiers were shadows and could not be seen as easily as the rest. They only make their presence known before their general and the royal family if summoned before them.

There were few exceptions like himself. He could not stay in the shadows for long. He was a hybrid after all. This was the case for the other hybrid soldiers as well. Anyway, he felt cautious about the woman. There is something about her that puts him on edge. Call it instinct or whatever you want. He just had that nagging feeling that she wasn't as simple as she appeared.
