Chapter 179: Mike's life over the years

"Forgive me," Mike said getting off the couch and sitting before Nara on the floor taking her hand. 

"Mike, get up," she said.

"No Nara, not until you forgive me," 

"Then do you plan on sitting here longer?" Nara asked instead.

"Please," he said.

Why did Mike forget his promise?

You could have said and stopped," Mike said. 

"You think? From the way they dragged me and took me home, you think anything I say or do would stop them from.. from.." Nara could not compete the sentence. "From this," she showed the gold bangle she was wearing on her right hand. "No," she said. "Three people fought and ended up failing. My mom, sister, and I," she went on. "What should I do? What should I have done? Take my life away? Should I do that? That is the only thing left," she asked him.

"Yes," Mike said angrily. 

"What?" Nara was shocked. She was not expecting that.
