Chapter 249: Burn the Dark Forest!

Adder who was till now groaning loudly in pain, just after the half-hearted hand flick of Goddess found his eyes searing pain easing quickly. An action he was unable to see but grateful to receive the mercy of her to soothe his unbearable pain. He felt like a breath of life was returned to him by her.

The pain went away, leaving Adder sprawled on the floor feeling both relieved and exhausted. Right then The Goddess stood up from her throne suddenly and walked up to him, slowly up to the point where she was standing over him, her tall figure making him plunge into her shadow. 

Adder shivered as he opened his eyes but as expected after that burn, he had lost his vision in his pupils leaving behind bloody eyes with the burned cornea. He tried to rub his eyes but all was in vain. His emotions once again began to get jittery, but before he could break into crying again. 

The Goddess rebuked in an annoyed voice, 

"Shut up! Don't wail like a child."
