Chapter 4: It's Fate
On the next day, I irritably opened the door for the disturbance who just rang the door bell of my unit not just once, twice or thrice but six times! Gosh. It was just only six in the morning and I was still in bed, taking my nap and exploring in the dream land.
And that person should now that before it interrupted me. But look at what that person did. That annoying someone was disturbing my sleep.
"What do you need in this early morning? Do y-"
"Good Morning."
My eyes literally widened as my jaw dropped when I saw who was the disturbance. Wearing his two piece business suit, he looked like a ruthless Businessman with an angelic face.
His face was so perfect. And it was so admirable for a woman like me. His hair is black as the night and his nose were pointed. His soulful deep set eyes were dangerously attractive. His lips were naturally pink and his brows were thick that is always furrowed. His smile could definitely made ever girls set their eyes only to him. His towering height added more on his charisma.
Gosh. He was like an angel standing in front of me.
I blinked twice and looked at him from head to toe. I was thinking that I was just hallucinating since I just wake up.
But no. I was not really imagining! It was really Calvin Noel Medocino in front of me.
"Y-yeah, G-good Morning." I cleared my throat when I saw him smile. I felt embarassed when I realized his reason. I just stuttered for goodness sake! "Uhmm... What can I do for you? I mean, What are you doing here at this early?"
I did not even comb my hair or take my bath yet. I probably look like a cat here now! Plus, I haven't brush my teeth too.
I'm so worried about the smell of my breath! I was afraid that it might be bad.
That thought horrified me.
"Would you mind inviting me inside?" He asked, giving me a smile.
"H-huh?" I blinked twice. "I mean, y-yeah please come in."
My god, Allyssa! Relax and keep yourself calm okay? You are embarrassing yourself to this handsome man. No, definitely a god look like one.
I wonder what is he doing here? We're not even close and as far as I know, I don't have a debt that I have to pay to him for him to come here this early.
"What do you want to drink?" I offered after looking at him while inspecting my furnitures and looked around with my whole huge unit. I have two rooms here. Each of it has its own toilet and bath. One powder room. Balcony. 55 sqm Living room. 50 sqm kitchen and dining. The infinity pool that was for every home owners was located at the ground floor.
Good thing my cleaner had already cleaned my mess yesterday.
She would just come here if it was tuesday and saturday since I was not really a person into mess. I was born rich and raised by rich so I know how to keep myself clean and green.
Including my House.
"Wine would do." He smiled as he took a glance at me before looking around with my unit again. I just rolled my eyes.
"What kind of wine do you want? I only have here–"
"Anything, I will drink anything you could offer." he cut me off.
"Okay."
I went to the kitchen and got wine from there It was Bordeaux 1982 Chateau Latour. One of the most expensive wine in the whole world. I bought it when I was just in France.
Though I'm not really fond of drinking wine so I just stocked it there.
When I go back to him, I automatically smiled when I saw his handsome face lying at the edge of my sofa bed and hugging my pillow while his eyes were close.
I found it... cute.
He was snoring a bit so maybe he was really tired. I wonder what did he do last night and why did he come in my house this early if he doesn't have enough sleep yet.
"Calvin..." I tried to wake him up.
"Hmm."
I sat beside him and continued waking him up. I stared at his face. It was so fascinating. He has that angelic and dangerous look at the same time.
"Calvin... wake up."
"Hmm."
I sighed when he still didn't open his eyes. Maybe he was really tired and I felt guilty for waking him up without thinking of that. I stood up and took the wine with me. I went back to the kitchen and pick the fresh milk in the refrigerator and a slice bread instead.
I prepared it on the small coffee table in front of him. I stared him for a while before I went to my room to take a bath. After that, I put my clothes on and blow dried my hair.
After I've done my morning routines, I went out and I saw Calvin who was still lying on the Sofa bed, looking so asleep. I took a deep breath and glanced the watch on my wrist.
It's still 6:50 a.m. and my work was on 8 a.m. so I still have enough time to stay here and wait for him to wake up.
Aside from being a musician, I also love books so I am an editor of a big publishing house here that was owned by Erwin, Alexia's husband. I'm done with my studies and I was glad. But I still don't wanted to proceed on the life of being a musician yet.
And since Alexia and Erwin offered me a work when I contacted them days ago, I decided to accept it since I get used of having something to do. Though, they doesn't know that I am already here.
They only know that I was working abroad and they have no problem with it anyway. So today is my first day of work and I'm gonna surprise them.
It's kinda weird that I get tired easily if I have nothing to do so I really have to work. I also needed money since my parents had stop of giving me an allowance since I disobeyed them and chosen to cross the destination that they doesn't want for me.
Good thing my brother secretly sent me money when I was just in France so somehow, I survived. That's why sometimes, I felt guilty for not informing him that I was already in the country.
I was just scared that he might tell it to my Parents and they'll drag me again or force me to the things they only wanted to me but I did never wanted for myself.
"Allyssa..."
I was even surprised when I heard Calvin's voice. I looked at him and just when I realized that he was already awake. I sighed. I think I just spaced out again.
"It's you... yeah, I forgot that I was in your Condo." He chuckled and fixed his necktie that had folded a bit when he fell asleep. I just watched him do it.
"Yeah. What are you doing here, anyway?"
"My bestfriend's wife told me to pick you up for work since you don't have a car."
My brows arrowed. "Your bestfriends wife? Who?"
"Ah, Alexiandra. I guess you know her since you're friends." He smiled again as he get up and brushed his hands on his hair.
I blinked twice because of surprise. They knew each other? Gosh. This world was really small. And oh my god! Alexia told him to fetch me for work? So that means they already know that I am here?
Gosh. I shouldn't be surprised anymore because I know Devi would tell Alexia about it but I still can't help it.
"Really? How did She know that I know you and you know me–"
"In short we know each other."
"Yeah, like that?"
"Well, I went to their house last night after I sent you home to visit my goddaughter. She was asking for me so..." He shrugged and smiled at me.
I just nodded even if I am still confused about everything. This is so strange and ridiculous. He was the cousin of Devi and the family of the person I treated as family and now he was also related to Alexia?
This is so odd. What was happening on Earth and I have this feeling like the fate really meant us to meet wherever we go.
I paused a moment when I realized that word.
