Chapter 19: My Addiction
Caleb message his forehead and stared at Mars afterward. He had no idea how to say anything to his boss.
"I saw few times you obsessed with something, but to the stage of addiction ... that was bad, Mars!" Caleb shook his head few times. Mars folded his arms and kept staring at the floor, thinking about himself.
"Since when?" Caleb asked him in a low tone
"Since that night, she made me sleeping well for the very first time. I felt happy, I just ..." Mars answered without looking at Caleb.
"Do you fall for her, Mars?" Mars looked at Caleb's eyes and speechless. He could not find any answer.
"I don't know, I never fell before, so I don't what how it feels!" Caleb understandingly nodded. He approached Mars and stared at him.
"I won't let anything happen to you, I don't know what should I do without you, I promised your mom to give my life to you and I'm still having the promises." Mars turned away his head and looked to the window. He nodded at the end and remained quiet after.
"Meanwhile, please control yourself, do not make any scene that ignites Jared to kill you!" Mars chuckled. Caleb took something from his suit and gave Mars the invitation. Mars took the invitation card and asked with his eyes.
"The Lynn is having a birthday party next Saturday night, I think the Wright is also invited, as you know that David Lynn is one of their investors." Mars nodded.
"Was it the IFAF board member, David Lynn?" Caleb nodded.
That jerk made me lost from that rat Wright. Why he'd invited me to his party?"
"So he could make a scene that Mars King already accepted his defeat."
"That old motherfucker!" Mars sneered.
"I already prepared his birthday's present." Caleb walked to one of Mars's drawers and took a watch box
"Vacheron Constantin Tour de I'Ile, the most complex watch in the world, one and only, they only made these 3 pieces this year." Mars took the watch and nodded to Caleb.
"If federation found about this, he'd be banned, are you trying to blackmail him?" Mars gave Caleb the watch. He put back one of the most expensive watches in the world into its unique box. Mars grinned, and Caleb only chuckled.
"Do you want me to choose your mask?" Caleb asked him. Before Mars answered him, someone knocked on his door. Without asking his permission, the door opened. Caleb turned his head, and his eyes widened to see the guess.
"Hello, cousin!" a beautiful sexy lady entered Mars's room. She just walked towards Mars, then she hugged and kissed his cheek. Mars only grinned and glanced at Caleb. Caleb turned his head away.
"I miss you cousin," she said while leaned half of her body to Mars.
"Nice meeting you again, Rose!" he smiled at her. Rose looked at Caleb and kissed his cheek.
"Hello ex-boyfriend!" she smiled seductively. Caleb did not say anything, and Mars pretended to be a fool.
"I thought you're still together?" Mars teased Caleb, supposedly
"Ah, no we broke up 6 months ago, right Caleb?" Rose remain her bitchy smile while Caleb had a severe face. He did not say anything.
"Who cheated first?" Mars kept teasing him.
"He and I did the last!" Mars chuckled to Caleb while he glared madly at him.
"What did you expect from bad boys, we couldn't handle our 'dong right Caleb?" Mars pointed at his crotch, teasing Caleb, and it made Rose giggled.
"Shut up, pick the clothes and mask for him Rose!" Caleb glared before leaving them both behind. He left his office. After Caleb left, Mars gave Rose the invitation.
"Uh I love party!"
"Would you be my partner?" Mars asked her in advance.
"Sure, I'll prepare your attire, cousin." Rose leaned her back at the same desk as Mars
"So, how's your mom and dad?"
"Ah they're old, but they are good, you're still my dad's favorite nephew!" Mars smiled.
"I miss uncle Garcia." Rose smiled at him.
Maria Rosaline Garcia Martinez was the one and only Mars King's cousin from his mother's side, Alena Martinez. Rose was two years younger than Mars. She was a model, had few clothing lines but a bad girl and sexy. Rose had a black belt karate, NASCAR license, and few almost nude photo shoots as a model in a fashion magazine. She's an outspoken person. That was probably the only thing why Mars could stand to her bitchy side. She nice person, beautiful, sexy but she was dangerous. Her father was a mafia leader in Spain. That made Mars's family tree was not fascinating and beyond expectations.
WRIGHT MANSION
Meanwhile, after dinner, Abraham Wright accepted the same invitation from one of his investors, David Lynn, to his birthday party. He intended to bring Vanylla and Jared to the party. He gave Jared the invitation.
"Ask your sister to come with us!" Jared read the invitation card
"A mask party?" Abraham nodded
"But he's old!" Jared added his impression, and his father chuckled.
"Maybe he'd like to impress his young new wife." Jared nodded and grinned
"Okay, let's bring Vanylla to the world ... with a mask, of course!" Abraham smiled at his son.
After talking to his Dad, Jared walked to Vanylla's working room to found her still drawing her project.
"You should get rest, Butterfly!" Jared came inside her room and kissed her top head. Vanylla smiled at him and nodded.
"Just a bit more, I'll sleep after this." Jared's hands were still caressing both her shoulders.
"We have an invitation this Saturday night."
"To where?"
"Mask birthday party, do you want to come with me?" Vanylla just smiled
"Would you be my partner?" Jared added. And Vanylla nodded.
"Can I take Katy with me?" Jared let go of his hard breath. Vanylla only put a big grin to persuade her brother.
"Fine, you win!" Vanylla held his brother's waist and squeaked happily.
"Ask her to buy you girls some dress and masks tomorrow!" Vanylla nodded.
MARS PENTHOUSE
On Thursday afternoon, Rose came to Mars's penthouse to deliver his suit and mask. Mars just got home and drunk his coffee when she came in without knocking.
"How'd you knew my password?" Mars, on his casual looks, held a mug of coffee, shocked by the sudden Rose came inside
"Was that my birth date?" she grinned without guilt. Mars just nodded and drank his coffee again.
"You should change your password, Mars!" Rose tried to fit the suit towards Mars's front body.
