Chapter 14: Preparations Before Sailing

I recently turned 15 a couple of days ago which means I would set sail in the next couple of days. I met Douglas about 3 weeks ago when I was turning in a bounty on a random marine island. And he said some stuff about getting promoted to an army's elite if he could end the war. From what he said that war would end very soon next week.
And if my memories serve me correctly, that's when he gets betrayed by his father figure. That's when I come in and save his ass. This way I have the highest chance of actually recruiting him.
Besides that, I decided to come up with how many crew members I need and their positions. I just wrote this in a small notebook.
Captain: Me
Vice-Captain/First-Mate: Douglas Bullet Hopefully
Navigator: TBD (To Be Decided)
Cook: Me
Doctor: TBD
Sniper: Yassop ( East Blue)
Swordsman: TBD
Shipwright: Douglas Bullet Hopefully
" Each of those positions is essential to sail in these chaotic seas, maybe not sniper and swordsman but they'd be nice to have.
Now onto why I choose who I did for the position. First Douglas. My man was making submarines in the movie and his knowledge of engineering was insane, so he is needed for the shipwright, and he's powerful so he'd make a fitting Vice-Captain.
Next Yassop that man is old, so I'll definitely be able to recruit him, and he's one of if not the greatest shown sniper in One Piece, and he's also Shanks' left hand. So he is definitely a welcome member."
As for the rest of the crew members, I'll recruit them as I sail through the seas. I also found a new feature for the map. I could set a specific way-point marker on the map. I was able to choose from a wide array of markers. For example a mark for weapons, a mark for gold, a mark for devil fruits, and even a mark for poneglyphs. With this, I would never forget the location of anything, as long as I marked it on the map.
So right now I'm trying to remember the location of important things so I could mark them. I'm definitely going to mark all the poneglyphs and devil fruit locations that I remember.
From the lightning devil fruit to the fire fruit which is hopefully still somewhere in the east blue, when I go to recruit Yassop I should be able to check.
All in all, I'm pretty happy with what the map has shaped up to be.
