Chapter 36: Findings (4)

"Okay but let me just say your angry side is scary. I don't want to be on the receiving end of whatever your power can do when you are upset. Do you want to continue going through the things in the attic?" Regina figured they should look through everything in the attic before they stop now. They might not like what they were finding but they knew it would be this way since they planned this.

Whatever was special about Aurora, what Minnie was hiding, the death of their grandfather, and many more. They won't like what they come to learn but the point was knowing the truth.

"I know we have to and I have to learn to control getting upset now that this is happening," Aurora said looking at what she had accidentally done to the poor things. She hated seeing the flowers being destroyed and hated it even more because she was the one causing it. She approached one of the flowers which were dying and tried her best to fix it.

Aurora carefully touched the flower and wished for it to regain its former beauty. She felt sad because strangely enough she also felt that the flower was sad. "I'm sorry for hurting you. Please grow again," she told the flower.

All the flowers started to magically go back to how they were before Aurora had entered the hall. Trying not to ruin the flowers was something she needed to practice right away. If her emotions spiral out of control in front of others, she would expose herself and might be taken to the king.

"Let's go back to the attic quickly before someone sees us. Are you sure Sarah won't tell on us? She wouldn't let a moment like this pass her up." Aurora had always known Sarah took on the job of being a tattletale about everything she did. Wasn't that boring considering she was well behaved and there wasn't anything interesting to report?

"Trust me, she's not going to say a word about this if she wants to keep her job. I have so many secrets about people I can use. I used to stay quiet and let them do as they please but I think it's time for me to release what I know to them and make them be under my wing doing whatever I want."

"This sounds like the beginning of a villain's origin," Aurora joked, going back to the attic with Regina. Aurora did not want Regina to act too out of character because of all of this. Even though Regina was the one whose family owned the house and employed all the workers, Aurora heard how much the workers plotted to reach up the ranks to be paid for being a spy.

"I wouldn't mind becoming a villain. The heroes are overrated in all the books I have read. The bad guys get to have all the fun."

The two returned to the attic and resumed their positions looking around for clues in old books and portraits. They hadn't found anything that contained any clues about Aurora. Their grandfather's diary must've been accidentally placed here and the person who put it here had no idea the man was writing in it. There was no way Minne would ever leave the book with what it said in the attic for anyone to read. So they decided to go to Minnie's bedroom instead.

Aurora and Regina walked seemingly innocently over to Minnie's private room, not trying to raise suspicion as they passed workers on their way there.

"How are we supposed to get inside?" Regina wondered because they did not have a key. Samuel only had the key to the attic.

"I have an idea. Stay out of sight till I get back," Aurora said, running away from Minnie's room. It might not work but she had to try. She knew there was an apple tree outside of Minnie's room which she might be able to climb to get inside of Minnie's room. She wasn't unfamiliar with climbing trees, a skill Minnie hated her having but look how it was going to come in handy today.

Reaching the outside right below Minnie's room she looked around to make sure there was no one around before she started. The gardeners were preparing the garden she used to lay in on the other side of the home so thankfully they were not here but it didn't mean she should not look around for anyone passing by unexpectedly.

Aurora started to climb the tree one branch at a time starting from the middle. "This is going to hurt," she mumbled as there were too many branches getting in her way and her dress wasn't the best choice.

Right before she tried to grab another branch to climb up the one in her other hand snapped causing her to lose balance but she thankfully caught another. The only problem was anyone nearby must've heard the tree shake and now there were a lot of red apples falling to the ground. Aurora sighed, taking a moment to calm her racing heart before going again. She was close to the balcony of Minnie's window but the branches were becoming harder to climb.

"I can't continue this on my own." She placed her hand on a branch and thought about it growing up to the balcony and so it did. Aurora grabbed onto the growing branch tightly as it raised her up to the balcony.

When she was close enough she grabbed onto the railing of the balcony and watched the branch slowly return to normal. Aurora looked back behind her, careful of anyone watching before lifting herself over the railing. "I need to exercise more," she panted feeling as though she just did a lot of running.

Knowing she did not have much time, she went to the balcony door hoping it was not locked, and luckily for her, it wasn't. She ran to the bedroom door and opened it for Regina to come inside. "It's open," she called to her sister.

"I'm impressed," Regina said hurrying inside Minne's room. They made a fine duo today.
