Chapter 46: Chapter 46...Counselling
"What do you mean there is something inside me?!" - yelled Jean as she took a step back.
Jack also went after her, not preventing in the slightest, it almost felt comical seeing the two chase each other.
"Don't you feel it talking to you Jean? The knocking on your mind now and then, giving you strength when you need it most!."
Jack shouted at Jean who was running out of the MedBay, this made her stop as she looked back at him for a moment only to see a single drop of tear hanging down her eyes, this caused Jack's heart to stop for a moment, he had never seen her cry, ever.
"I will take it from here Cedric, she is overwhelmed." said the Ancient One as she patted the stumped young man's back. The girl was too scared to talk with anyone. Fortunately, her long years of being alive also came with a Large amount of such experiences.
The Ancient One walked out, Beast went ahead to stop her only to be bound by chains made of fiery orange constructs.
"Ughhhh, what is this?!" - Beast wasn't able to break out in any way, Charles and the others got onto the defensive and were about to chase and fight the Ancient One, but we were stopped by Cedric, who came in front of them.
"She just tied up one of us and you expect us to be okay with that? you just brought an unknown to our house." this time even Charles was a bit angry, he wanted to be there for his fellow mutants and what happened to Jean was partly his fault, the guilt finally caught up to him.
Cedric heard this and was becoming angrier by the second, he wanted nothing more than to turn into Midoriya and punch this whole mansion to Kingdomcome.
"Oh, and what are you going to do?, ask her to leave?, she is not some coward that you can pick a fight with!" - Jeered Cedric in his not-so-friendly tone.
Charles was surprised by the sudden change in tone of Cedric.
"You have been hiding from your problems while she has been protecting Earth from way before the word 'protect' came to be." - Cedric laughed
"Besides, she has the best interest in mind, if Jean ain't trained for what she is, she might end up engulfing this whole Earth in the afterglow of the Phoenix flames." - said Cedric. By the time he was done calming down the X-Men, Beast was free from the constructs and was being consoled by Ororo who also had a few questions in mind as she looked at Cedric who was sitting down on the sofa in a sour mood, it seemed as if the boy cared about Jean for some reason and it wasn't just pure drive to have someone.

In the Backyard of the X mansion; The place was filled with beautiful flowers and a girl with red hair was laying down on the blanket of flowers, she had tears streaming down her cheeks as she covered her eyes with her hands.
"You already knew about the Phoenix force." - said The Ancient One as she sat beside the young girl.
The Ancient One had come before the wielder of Phoenix force once before and it didn't end nicely, eventually, they all lose control and bad things happen.
Ancient One didn't want something like that to happen as it would mess with the future, it would lead to a timeline which made her shudder.
"Who are you?" asked Jean, she knew that someone had come along with the Newyork hero, but she didn't know who, she wasn't able to read her thoughts, just like Cedric's.
"Well, I am the sorcerer supreme, people call me the Ancient One, I am responsible for the protection of Earth from hidden danger." - said The Ancient One
"Hidden Danger?" - Jean asked
"Yes, Danger that normal people can't stand up to, the danger that arises from the outside, although we are like you in the fact that not many people know about us, we don't hide from danger, if we did, Earth will be In peril." - The Ancient One explained as she smiled at the young girl.
"You mean things like Aliens and stuff." Jean was surprised that there were Aliens in existence.
"Haha! I guess you could call them that."
The place descended into silence as both the ladies looked at the Mansion
"Would you let me help you?" - asked Ancient One
"Why are you willing to help me? what's in it for you?" - asked Jean.
"Why is Charles willing to help you, what's in it for him?" the Ancient One asked back.
"Ummm, He helps everyone that's like us, we are different from other people." - Jean explained, she wasn't mature enough to understand.
"And I help those that are like me, the power of the Phoenix is immense, but it is wrong to fear it or use it as a tool, it's a living breathing universal entity. Every time you get close to death or go under pressure, it tried to help you in its immature way, which made it hurt people around you."- Explained the Ancient One.
Jean started thinking to herself, she had just seen how powerful the things inside her were, she had a glimpse of its power, and she knew she couldn't control it, Not without help.
"Will you help me control it?" asked Jean hoping that The Ancient one would help.
"I will only help you as much as you let me, I won't help you control it, it's a living being, I will help you understand it, let you two communicate, who knows how far you can go." - explained the Ancient One, she didn't tell Jean about what happened to the other hosts of The Phoenix.
