Chapter 10: Day out
The next day as Jude was about to head for Master Yun's lesson, he was approached by the butler who told him about Toph wanting to buy new clothes so he had to follow and protect Toph
Jude acknowledged it and walked towards the front door which was the meeting spot. As Jude was walking he thought ' Shopping with Toph? Who is choosing the clothes for her?' Thought Jude confused
Jude arrived at the spot and saw 2 other guards waiting, they both looked middle aged with short beard and moustache
Jude greeted them with a nod before using his bending to make a flat stone to sit on
As Jude was waiting for Toph he noticed the two guards talking about something
" Have you heard about the Iron hammer bandits?" asked the short guard
The other guard nodded and said " Yeh, they're making a lot of problems, I've heard they struck one of boss business, fortunately they didn't get much out of it"
" Those idiots are really arrogant they think with numbers no one can touch them" replied the short guard
Jude sat few meter away from them and thought ' Iron hammer bandits? who the hell are they? Never heard of them in the show' Thought Jude
After few more minutes Toph arrived
She wore a jade green dress with green shoulder strap and she also wore light makeup, all in all she looked like a young mistress from a rich family
As Jude saw her he thought' Wow, really beautiful…' But since he knew she wore those clothes and makeup just to please her family Jude found it sad
As the guards saw Toph they quickly called the carriage and opened the door for Toph, after Toph got inside the short guard closed it then proceeded to ride the carriage which was being pulled by two ostrich like creature
Jude saw Toph enter the carriage and thought ' maybe I should ask I can go inside with her… But wont that be weird?' he contemplated but after few moments of thinking he thought' fuck it'
Jude knocked at the door then heard Toph's voice
" What is it?
" Well I would like to sit inside the carriage" replied Jude
" Sure, come inside " replied Toph which surprised Jude
Entering, Jude noticed the carriage wasn't that big and only had the space to hold 4 people
Jude took a seat opposite of Toph and thanked Toph " Thanks"
" Dont thank me, Since Im bored and having someone to talk is better than nothing " Replied Toph with a straight face
After Jude entered the carriage started to move and headed to the clothing shop
Inside the carriage Jude asked" Toph… uhmm why is it that you won't tell your parents that you're so good at earth bending"
Toph looked annoyed and said " They won't understand, my dad doesn't even allowed my teacher to teach me more than the basic moments and some lame breathing technique "
Seeing Toph so worked up Jude said " I have noticed that your parents treat you like a helpless child even tough you're really strong.….Maybe it's because of that reason, they treat you like one and if you showed you're capable and can proof them wrong they'll accept how you really are"
" Show them what? That their daughter who was supposed to be blind her entire life is an earth bending master?"
Jude was about to retort but suddenly thought of something
" I have an Idea on how your parents will accept the real you" said Jude
" Real me? what do you mean?" replied Toph
" Don't tell me you start to believe your own lie? Even though I havent been here for a long time I know that you definitely aren't the type to wear dresses and stay at home the entire time"
Jude continued " You're the champion of the earth rumble tournament, that's the real you, an adventure who seeks action in their life, Don't tell me you want to keep this act up till you reach old age? "
Hearing Jude Toph stayed silent

After few moments of thinking Toph replied " What plan?"
Jude smiled and said " I've heard that some bandits attacked one of your dad's business and since they attacked his business im sure your dad will wish for someone to reprehend them"
And if we.. I mean if you got rid of them it'll show
Toph thought about it for some time before answering shortly " How"

Soon they arrived at the shop
Jude opened the door for Toph before saying " I'll explain the plan when we arrive at the garden"
Toph nodded and exited and Jude followed behind
When they entered the one floor building a lady came out who Jude assumed to be the manager
She took Toph around and bought her to different dresses, explaining how they look
' Oh that's how she buys dresses' thought Jude
After choosing a dress Toph walked out and said " I want to look around the area"
They walked around with the other two guards guarding her from both sides and Jude followed her closely
Soon they found a restaurant and ate food, Jude sat with Toph and the other guards in understanding sat at a different table
" By the way Toph… How can you see that good even though you're blind?" Jude asked
Toph who acting in a lady like manner by blowing the soup in her wooden spoon nonchalantly replied " I see with earth-bending"
" Do you feel the earth and see it that way?" Jude asked… He wanted to learn how she sensed the earth as it was very useful
" Well I guess you can say that " replied Toph
" By the way when is the next earth-rumble tournament? " continued Jude
" Im not sure myself, they usually give out flyers when it's time"
"Anyways why do you wanna know? Do you wanna participate?" She asked
"hehe maybe " replied Jude
" Even you if participate you won't go far and especially wont be the champion " said Toph as her competitive side started to show
Jude grinned and said "we'll see "
" What do you mean?" asked Toph

After eating food they walked around for few more hours before getting back
