Chapter 92: S2 Ch 1 (Ch 88) : Sunagakure

Sanada explained what he had just witnessed to Baki.
After seeing the delegacy certificate that Sanada showed him, the Sunagakure Jonin immediately begged for mercy, and because of that, Sanada decided to just report the matter to Baki and didn't take matters into his own hand.
He was pretty lucky that this ninja world was not in Cn, or else, he would have dealt with countless Sunagakure ninja seeking revenge for that man.
Baki listened to the report Sanada gave to him, and a frown appeared on his face.
Now that the condition of Suna was still like this, the last thing he wanted was another internal conflict, and from the look of it, it seemed a lot of Sunagakure ninja had begun to be dissatisfied with the recent state of the village.
Yup, as remuneration of the invasion to Konoha, Sunagakure must allocate some of their mission to Konoha, and this made the income of Sunagakure ninjas become a lot less than usual.
Things got even harder when the daimyo also began to question the strength of Sunagakure and decided to cut the funding by almost half.
Now Sunagakure was really at the end of the rope, and all Baki could wish was for this calamity to quickly pass.
Baki's attention then shifted to the young man in front of him.

Replied Sanada with a smile. Since he had wandered around secretly, he needed a new identity, and for that, he chose the identity of Kazuha.
Baki listened to Sanada and just nodded. He opened his mouth, and:
" Then, Mr. Kazuha, let's return to our main topic. You are here on behalf of Konoha, right? Can you tell me what Konoha said about our offer?"
" Well, about that. There was no trouble regarding the initial offer. However.. sadly, Jonin Sanada couldn't be here because of some special occurrence. And for that, Konoha had sent a new other capable Jonin, to replace Jonin Sanada. Don't worry, Konoha guaranteed that the quality is superb!"
Listening to Sanada, Baki had no other complaint and just nodded.
After all, that special condition was only specially requested by Gaara, and Baki already said that Konoha didn't necessarily accept the offer.
The two met an agreement, and the alliance between Konoha and Suna was now a thing.
Baki then brought Sanada to an empty residence where he would stay for the next three months or so.
It was located at the corner of the village, as Sanada requested that he want the place to be quiet and far from the main street of Sunagakure.
Sanada entered the building, and he saw that even though there was not a lot of furniture inside, the overall feeling that the residence gave him was still pretty much a comfortable one.
Sanada placed all his belongings there, and after that, he left the residence alone.
Baki had gone back to his office as he still had a lot of matters to deal with as the one in charge of Sunagakure, and Sanada wanted to see the real side of Sunagakure without any bias.
The first impression of him of Sunagakure was not the best, but Sanada believed that there were always two sides in everything, and now he was going to look for the bright side in Sunagakure.
Sanada strolled around Sunagakure anonymously.
Along the way, he had seen a lot of children playing around.
Even though it was hot and the situation was not comparable to Konoha, Sanada could still see a lot of young children aspiring to be strong ninjas.
For them, being a ninja meant that they could change their life, and they would be able to live a better life.
Still, what really took Sanada's attention at this time was not the laughter of the children nor the businessman but the overall poverty in Sunagakure.
At the edge of the village, Sanada could see a lot of civilians struggling for water.
Their body was so thin, and their stomach showed sign of being malnourished.
Of course, Sanada could help them, but this time, Sanada decided against doing so.
Even if he gave them some food, it would only be like giving saltwater to thirsty people.
It wouldn't diminish their thirst and would only make them dependent on the help they received.
If he was going to help, he must educate them and give them some way to earn income by themselves.
Then, a thought crossed Sanada's mind.
If going with the original plot, Gaara would soon take over to be the Kazekage, and the situation of the village would be a lot better.
But was it truly the case?
In the anime, everything showed was only the bright part of the ninja world.
It hides the dark and gruesome truth to make it more suitable for children and not make it too heavy for a shounen anime.
Sanada at first thought he only transmigrated here to help the ninjas, being strong or even dominating the world.
But now, a small bud of thought began to blossom on Sanada's mind.
What if.. He was here not to help the ninjas but to change the overall situation in the ninja world?
His system was a teacher system, but based on his recent reward, he could assume that strength was not the only one he could teach.
