What are the chances that a selfish, spoiled and arrogant daughter of a noble man in the little town of Griffinwald would fall head over heels in love with a foreigner, an affluent merchant who bathes in the very waters of pride, arrogance and bloated ego?
What are the odds that the universe would plan their meet in the most dramatic way; a missing handkerchief flying off with the wind; Scared horses whinning loudly in the distance, a banging thunderstorm is the grand plan.
What if this merchant has travelled this far to seek out a certain girl who should become his bride, only to land his heart in another woman's bosoms?

"The housekeeper is not," said she. "And I am not dumb enough as you think. I can figure my way out of here."
"You can?"
"Yes, I can."
"Hm." Rochester travelled his hand up to his lips. Bussing his mouth sensually with his thumb, he felt his lips divide. Hoping it would have the desired effect on the girl, he said, "I am still confused. Why haven't you left here already? Is there perhaps something else you would need me to do for you? Want to warm my bed perhaps?"
"You are disgusting, sir! And I hate you!" Louisa yelled, and in a couple of sprints, she was outside his chamber, shutting the door with a slam.

PS. This book is set in thesame fantasy world as my other book, "The Dark Lord's Maiden." You could add up the other book to binge read up to the latest chapters to understand the personality of these characters. But then again this book can also be read as a stand-alone, apart from TDLM.

I like this story it's very different from others. Good writing, strong characters build-up, and the story flows well. The author of this book is amazing, this is a must add book.💞
TMB is now in its third and final volume so here is my five-star review. For those looking to start this book, don't expect to find a simple, good girl-esque character. Our FL is in fact very complicated, and in turn, very human. In the first and second volumes, she will make a lot of mistakes and it will be easy to judge her. But as far as the story goes it is a story about growth. Because she has a thoroughly flawed upbringing, you cannot expect her to make the right decision but you can expect her to learn along the way. That being said, pick up this book if you can be honest and read with an open mind. If you can't then you might need to find another book to while your time on. TMB will be ending shortly. New and old readers are still welcome. Have a nice read!

This is definitely quality work, the scenes are very well described, although not my cup of tea when it comes to genres, it is definitely something anyone could enjoy, the grammar is nigh-perfect,
YOU MUST ADD this book !!!!! The plot of this story is super intriguing, sensual, interesting, and passionate. The characters development is what have me rooting and waiting desperately for more. This story brings out a lot of inner emotions and the sarcasm in it makes some stressful situations become enjoyable. This is my first book from this Author and for sure I have been bewitched by her wonderful fantasy world explicit to a point it's hard not to imagine anything. Kudos dear Author for this master piece! Keep up delighting us with Louisa and my found treasure, Rochester which I'm all deeply in love already!!!!❤️
