Chapter 204: Apple Cake and Always (2/2)

Wren grabbed some plates and the bowl full of whipped cream from the counter, then sat in the chair next to Rowan. He cut Rowan a slice that was much larger than he actually needed, then spooned some whipped cream on top.

Rowan reached for his fork, but Wren grabbed it first, leaning over to feed him the first bite. An excited blush had already appeared on his cheeks as he waited for Rowan's reaction.

"It's delicious," Rowan said, then added some extra compliments because Wren was so irresistible when he was like this. "I can't believe how talented you are. And so handsome and thoughtful, too."

Wren sat up straighter, chest puffing out like a bird preening for an elaborate mating ritual involving cake and excessive praise. 

Rowan patted Wren's bare chest. "I'm going to be sure to tell anyone who will listen how amazing you are in the kitchen."

"Just in the kitchen?" Wren shifted closer so that Rowan would continue touching him.
