Chapter 226: Movement and Sewing Seeds (1/1)

Rowan and Wren waited for Zoe at a table outside the cafe in her village, the same one they'd gone to with Mara and Loma once before. It turned out the woman who owned it was Zoe's mother, and today she insisted they test one of her new drinks for her while they waited for Zoe to come back from running errands.

"Here you go." She smiled as she placed two fancy glasses with red and white striped straws in front of them. "It's the least I can do for the boys who saved my daughter. *And* my future grandson."

"What kind of drink is it?" Wren eyed the whipped cream she'd heaped on top. A single raspberry balanced in the center of the white swirl.

Rowan could tell from the way he leaned forward in his seat that he really wanted to stick his finger in it, but he held back. 

"Iced chocolate with fresh raspberry syrup. I hope you like it."
