Chapter 19: Celebration

Harper shook her head. She had dismissed Gwyneth’s assumption and dedicated the entire afternoon to working on new ideas for a series of designs.

“Right,” Harper muttered. She let out a tired sigh before switching off the studio’s lights. She had lost track of time and merely waved everyone goodbye when they left her a while ago.

Gwyneth volunteered to stay behind, but Harper whisked her off. She didn’t need her distractions and teasing about being in love with Roland.

They’ve only met.

Harper couldn’t have fallen that fast. She and Roland were just friends.

Harper shook her head. She was on her way to catch the elevator and be on her way back to Roland’s apartment when a text message alerted her.

She immediately fished for her phone and found an email coming from Davis. Curiosity crawled on her and she immediately opened her brother’s message.

Its content had Harper gasping.
