Very good premise And the writing is a gift very smart mc going through the affairs of the supernatural with a goal and a clear mind. I wIll be looking out for more of this as i hope to see it more in the future.
Reviewing Time! You said your dialogue and exposition wasn't that great? What a complete lie, the writing is above average, even great! Hopefully, the author will be updating this novel daily. The story is already in the deep end, the protagonist already has a goal and he will stick with it. The characters are spectacular, my favorite being Bones Stallone, he has the basic mafia boss feel, and I love it. The world, albeit confusing, does kind of sink in after some time, though I didn't understand it at first, I immediately understood it after some time spent reading.
You have an interesting premise going on, and I think you're handling it very well, your pacing is good and you manage to keep the intrigue while moving the plot. My biggest issue with the story is that it's a little hard to keep track of what's going on, I found myself rereading some paragraphs here and there, but it's not a major issue, I think some extra light editing to make things a little clearer should be enough. I think your dialogue is a little weak, but I wouldn't call it bad, it does the job. You spend a little too long describing how the mc gets from one place to another, but this is just my personal preference.
I am not the best review out there, so I will just give my opinion. this is a very nicely writen book and the characters really shine through. they are very unique in their personalities. the setting itself is an urban fantasy, I am really curious how the author will develop this world and its history. As there seems to some bad blood between golbins and elfs.
