Chapter 37: Random Picking, Random Team
Raven and his students enter the dungeon, leaving the two guards outside. There was a big chamber inside the dungeons that served as the dungeon's waiting area and contained another door, the true entrance to the trial. When they arrive at the center, Raven explains the trial's mechanics.
"I want you to separate into seven groups of three people each, and who you group with depends on your luck."
Hearing what Raven stated, the students became vigilant, and they looked at each other with concern in their eyes.
Raven continues to speak without regard for his students' reactions.
"First and foremost, this dungeon is a special dungeon where, after slaying a monster, you will be granted a random attribute with a maximum attribute of 10 in each single attribute, giving you a total of 50 attributes for free."
"However, the attribute will still rely on your luck because not all of the monsters here always provide an attribute when you kill them; perhaps you will be granted an attribute for every ten monsters you kill, who knows."
"There are also five separate locations within the dungeons with various types of monsters."
All of the kids are paying close attention to Raven's words. Then one of the students raises his hand and asks a question, which annoys Raven a little.
"Sir, what levels of monsters are there on the inside?" a timid youngster inquires.
Raven's stare at him, causes the timid student to instinctively move his one foot backwards.

"Did you know you can't cut an adult's words while they're speaking?"
"Please allow me to finish before anyone asks a question."
With a little pause, Raven then continues speaking.
"Again, when you enter the dungeon, you will emerge randomly inside of it, and the five locations were composed of distinct creatures specializing in Strength, Agility, Intelligence, Stamina, and Dexterity."
"In the North you will encounter monsters specialized in Agility, While, In the South are monsters that specialized in Dexterity."
The students pay close attention as they digest Raven's statements because, it will aid them in devising strategies when they enter the dungeon.
"Monsters specializing in strength are found in the east, while monsters specialized in stamina are found in the west, and creatures specialized in intelligence are found in the middle of the dungeon."
"So, the mechanism of this trial is based on a point system, and I'll give each of you a unique watch that will track your kills within the dungeon."
"Killing a boss monster inside is comparable to 1000 points, while minions provide random points according to their level and strength."
"First, I'll distribute the watches, and then we'll play a picking game in which you select a number at random to form a team."
Raven then gave the watches to his students and had them choose a stick from a can that would light up and reveal a number when the student picked it up. Raven begins speaking again after the student has already chosen a stick.
"You've already chosen your number, therefore you need to communicate with the same numbers as yours and start planning."
"By the way, stealing points from another team is permitted; also, the watch has a unique mechanism that, when a person's life is in danger, the system will kick in and release the individual out of the dungeon for safety reasons."
"I'll give you an hour to connect with your team and get to know each other, that's all."
Raven then leaves the students to speak with the guards and head to the record room. This special dungeon was already covered with an eye monster bred by the Ashford family.
Eye monsters are non-combat monsters that solely record and observe. They are useful for reconnaissance because they are invisible to monsters and humans. You will not be able to view its invisibility skills unless you have a skill or equipment that can see or counter it.
The Eye monsters record the live events that they witness and transmit them to the primary Mother Eye monster, which connects to the magic monitor through special means. It's built up like a computer, with the CPU serving as the Mother Eye Monster and it is located inside the CPU and has several connecting magic ports.
Entering the monitoring room, A person in charge enthusiastically greeted him. Raven nods to the man and motions him to go out because he will be in control of the surveillance room. For today's event, he has already reserved the whole dungeon for his students.
-On Leo Side -
Number 7 is chosen by Leo. As a result, he quickly bids farewell to his friends and seeks out his team to become familiar with each other.When Leo meets his team, he is surprised to learn that Celine is among them.
Leo also notices a half-elf in a robe and another woman with a boyish demeanor. Then he approaches them and introduces himself.
"Hi, my name is Leo Maxwell, and luckily, our team is made up of four people's, therefore we have an advantage over other teams."
"Yeah, I thought we were the only ones on a team," the half elf said hesitantly. "By the way, my name is John Lewis."
"This is Celine Arco, and the other girl's name is Joanne Reagan," he said.
Leo responds with a smile, and they quickly become acquainted.
Leo gained familiarity with their class as they talked about each other. Celine is a Magic Archer, John Lewis is A priest and another girl is a Valkyrie. Because he didn't see an axe, Leo assumed she was a brawler and asked the girl, who said, "My Axe is a unique weapon and it is connected to me since birth. As I'm born, there is a peculiar mark in my shoulder, and later when I grow old, little by little the mark becomes an unknown pattern."
"And when I reached the age of eight, I was able to call my own weapon, which I named [Harbinger of Death: Labrys] and which is a double-headed axe."
Then she summoned her Axe, which caused Leo and the others' hair to stand on end.
